    Great TV

    This TV is really good for its price. I went from a 32 inch Sony Bravia tv to this one and the step up is definitely noticeable in the resolution. The only negative side of this tv is you have to spend a good amount of time changing the picture settings to get the images you want to see. Other than that the TV is great for watching movies, streaming Netflix and playing video games. I noticed the biggest difference between the 2 TVs when I first played on my xbox on the newer TV. At first I was kind of iffy about getting the TV since it was Vizio but so far no problems and runs great. Just incase I do run into a problem however, Best Buy's Geek Squad will cover my TV.

    Great For Gaming and 4K...but

    This TV has the lowest input lag I've ever seen. I owned the Samsung JU7100 (55 inch), LG 60 inch 8500, Samsung 55 8500, and the Sony XBR55X850C; the JU7100 was great, I gave that to my old man recently. But they can't touch this VIZIO in terms of input lag. This is the best I've seen, comes close to Nvidia's G-Sync technology. A+ here. The panel is great, not excellent. There's a great deal of flickering going on, at least with my panel. I can see it especially when there's a white background. It's noticeable here and there. Hurts my eyes after an extended period. The 1080P scaling is OK at best. It's a 6.5 maybe 7 on a scale from 1-10. HD movies or sports look washed out; the detail gets lost; not great at all. That was the most disappointing. I was reading up that that was even common in the older model. The other TVs really shined in this aspect. I have a decent size 1080P library of Bluray and older DVD movies. Watch the NBA on ESPN HD last night and it was a let down; something doesn't look right watching 1080P content. 4K looks excellent though! The tablet is awesome! I dig it. However, you can get similar functionality with an android device using the Google app. This is a plus if you have an Iphone. Also, the tablet can be used external of the TV. Meaning you can use it for doing other stuff like any other tablet. Overall, I'm not entirely sold on the TV because of the (i) flickering and (ii) mediocre 1080p processing. I plan on giving it a few more days to see if I can live with the shortcomings. If you are planning to use this exclusively for gaming or 4K content, this is a good TV. But for $2,000 or a bit more, you can get a better TV.

    Very Disappointed

    I purchased this television a week ago. Today, following 3+hours of time on the phone with VIZIO tech support, I am returning this television. Before purchasing this TV, I read the early concerns regarding the VIZIO SmartCast App and given the response to other disappointed customers, I assumed that the folks at VIZIO had successfully addressed the issues negatively affecting the VIZIO SmartCast app. They have not. I love the picture quality - but after many days and hours today of working directly with VIZO tech support, I am unable to get the TV to pair with the VIZIO SmartCast app. And we have tried using the tablet, an android phone and an iPad. I very much do not feel like taking the time and the effort to return this television - but have been left with no choice. Sigh. Of course, nothing in life is perfect and I could see that maybe I got the one bad apple in what could be a very great bunch - but it sure is a hassle to have to return an item of this size and VIZIO should at the very least warn folks about this potential and significant technology issue.

    This TV has amazing picture quality, crisp and beautiful color/picture for 1080p & up, the best I've experienced yet. But picture is only half the equation. Vizio has never been high on my "sound quality" list, but complete lack of care for it in this TV is astounding. The speakers on this TV are pure garbage, so much so that I feel they should have excluded speakers all together instead of shipping with ones installed. They pick up bass way to early and then heavily distort it, meaning any dialogue with even a slight baritone voice becomes a distorted mess that is impossible to understand. They do include an equalizer in the audio options, but trying to "fix" the audio was nothing more than an exercise in futility. I can not recommend this to anyone unless they are prepared to spend more money fixing this mistake by buying an external sound system.

    Only 60hz NOT 120hz

    After buying and returning several tvs over several weeks due to a couple incompetent employees (just told me what I wanted to hear...not what was real) and confusing wording by manufacturers. I thought I found the right TV....even the guy that helped me was really good this time around. But we both bought into the "120hz tru motion". But it's really 60hz. The 55" is 120hz but is IPS panel. All they had to do was make the 50" 120hz and the 55" a VA panel and they would've sold so many of these.

    I bought this TV after reading all the reviews and based on a 65" Vizio I purchased last year. I could not have been more disappointed. The picture quality is good as long as you are looking straight at it. As you move to any angle the picture quality gets worse to the point it's like looking at a snow storm. I tried a number of different picture settings. None made that much of a difference. The day after I set up the TV the entire system froze. The English speaking person at customer support was very helpful however the entire system had to be set up again. Apparently this problem is caused by the tablet and not the TV. This issue after less than 1 day and the very disappointing picture quality caused me to return the TV (the 8 year old Panasonic this TV was replacing had better picture quality). The associate at Bestbuy was helpful and did not seem surprised this TV was being returned. I bought another brand that Bestbuy had on display and I could not be happier. My local BB did not have this model on display, a mistake I will not make again. The 65" Vizio I use in my basement is awesome, this newer model does not come close to the picture quality of the year old TV that can be viewed from every angle with no picture distortion.

    Had this tv for 17 months. The main board died and Geek Squads wants $400 to fix it. Wow, I knew I was taking a chance with Vizio but I thought I'd get at least 5 years out of it. Stay away from Vizio products. Picture looks good but the quality of the products are junk.

    Nightmare setup

    Too much technology that just doesn't seem to work smoothly - bought this open box 6 hours ago and wasted my whole evening trying to get the tv to sync with the tablet so that I can look at the settings. The tv keeps turning off and back on randomly, and the sales rep at best buy said I would need to change the settings from "store" to "home" mode using the tablet. The tablet would not sync using bluetooth and then would give me an error when trying to setup using the wi-fi "backup". 4 hours later, the tablet somehow connected to the tv but now the settings icon opened up to absolutely nothing. So....my tv keeps turning off and on, and the tablet/remote doesn't function properly. This has been the most annoying experience as hooking up a tv should not be this difficult. It' s too bad because the picture is great and the design of the tv is sharp - I'll be returning tomorrow for a Samsung.

    Nice looking tv but fails to cast

    No matter what I do the tablet will not cast to the tv. I have spent hours on the phone with Vizio and it still doesn't work. They sent another tv and that one will not work. Looking at avs forums others have the same issue. Tablet will not cast to the tv no matter what. I feel like a beta tester for something new. I just want the TV to work like advertised and it does not.

    Worst tv i've ever bought

    Tv leaves an open wifi signal with no way of turning it off. I tried to turn "smart" capabilities from settings but it turns itself back on. I don't want my neighbors to be able to use my wifi. Absolute worst tv i've ever bought. No way to turn off wifi capablities. Will not recommend. My wifi is WPA with passcode but when my vizio tv is connected it allows anyone to connect to it as an open wifi signal. Piece of ***t tv. DO NOT BUY.

    Bought it 3 days ago and now it won't work. I liv 60 miles from the closest best buy. The got it out and made sure it worked. Got it home set it up seemed to be working great then last night day 2. Assembled wall mount and hung it on the wall using up most delicate hands. Hooked it up and panel was shot. Called vizio and they confirmed BS worked right before hanging it and now it don't and it's 3 days old WTF!
