Picture quality is great but setting up the casting thru the android tablet is a bit tricky and cumbersome. Using the APP on the iPhone is still a problem but am able to stream fine using the tablet.

This TV is a great value, picture is clear. The tablet remote is a novel concept, the Android remote app is weak at the moment but is improving.

So i picked this tv up based almost entirely off of reviews online, cnet, rting, user reviews etc. then i saw the vizio prepared 4k demo video at the store, and it looked good. i took it home, hooked it up, and it looked ok, not good, not great. i bought this the first weekend in october so i had playoff baseball, football and preseason hockey to check it out , along with regular programming and streaming services and bluray movies. for baseball it looked good, for football, only ok, for hockey, i don't recommend. regular tv, ok, for bluray good, for 4k streaming excellent, video games ok at best. the sound, ugh, ok none of the flat panel tv's actually sound good, but this one sounds like listening through a tin can, it's terrible, flat out terrible. i had it hooked up through a soundbar with a sub-woofer that doubles as my home stereo, and sure, when not listening to the speakers it's ok, but having the option either late at night, or early in the morning of not having to listen through the stereo appeals to me, and this tv's performance in this area was completely unacceptable. in summation for regular tv watching, it's ok, not as good as my old 37 inch samsung, for sports vewing, by and large, not good, nowhere near as good as my old 37 inch samsung, for movies, it's good, when playing a game from my old ps3, not very good, for what you pay for this television, it's a small increase to jump to suhd 49 inch samsung, which is what i ultimately did, and you end up getting a significantly better television. don't waste your money on this, either spend less and get a lower end samsung or sony, or drop a little more and get a higher end samsung or sony, and you'll be much much happier.

I got this TV for over $300 less than normal because it was open box. Other than missing the Android tablet remote, I noticed no other issues with it, and it has worked great since.

I am able to sit and program my tablet so I do not get up to turn on, or off, or change the program that I am watching from my recliner, color is excellent

Although this TV is a little subpar for sound and upscaling, it does an amazing job of upscaling HD content to UHD, and that shouldn't put you off from purchasing this TV if you get the chance. Most UHD TVs need a soundbar anyhow, but this one makes you want one sooner...

The picture quality is beyond great, performance is amazing its just as perfect as the description describes it. Vizio outdid themselves. The only downside is the app jitters sometimes but they lived up to their promises they have been releasing updates and its already way more stable.

Absolutely happy with my TV. I purchased the Vizio P 50" on Black Friday online. Received the TV from Bestbuy within 3 days (shipping was free). I did a lot of research on TVs and all of it led to the back to the Vizio P Series. The picture quality and contrast are superb. It's also only one of two TV brands that support both HDR10- and Dolby Vision. Both of which look amazing. The content is sparse now but it's a good way to future proof your TV. My only "complaint" is the use of a tablet for the majority of controls and casting. However, if you're buying this TV I'd recommend getting the Roku Premier+ to take full advantage of the HDR/Dolby Vision content. The tablet can cast it but the Roku is the best addition to any home theater. ADVICE - ignore "brand name" It's mostly just marketing jargon that drives up the cost. Vizio produces some of the best TVs regardless of cost. They also just happen to be more affordable.

the setup is a little tricky at first but once you get past that! this tv is awesome I've never been happier with a purchase from Best Buy.

I purchased this tv because it was rated the "best gaming tv for under $1000". At first I thought the tablet remote was a gimmick, but is actually quite useful. Frame rate and image a absolutely gorgeous. Color is extremely fine tune-able. Thin bezel seems metal, feet definitely are metal. Cons: HDR doesn't work with Xbox one S "yet". Vizio claims they're working on an update. Speakers aren't that great, but it issss called a "home theatre display". If you can afford it, get the 65". Same exact tv but 120Hz. The 55" has a different screen than the rest of the lineup.

Probably the best picture quality I've seen from a 50" LCD monitor. I say monitor because this unit has no built in TV tuner, which may be an issue for some. The Smartcast feature and included tablet are an innovative step toward networked integration. However, the tablet depends a dependable wi-fi signal to "cast" streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu to the monitor. Unfortunately, even with a consistent and strong signal, the tablet randomly drops its connection and has to be reset. Other than those two minor complaints, this is still a great monitor for the money.

Love the TV. good size screen. Has a good price tag for that size compared to the others i look at. I do not like to remote, its like a tablet.

The vizio tv has a very good picture. It did take time to work thru setting up the set but overall I am pleased with the set.

I wrote a review for the p50-c1 over a month ago, and I'm happy to report it's still living up to the five star rating I gave it then. The only change I would make to my review is that I wouldn't buy this model if you were going to sit off access by more than 25 degrees off center because the colors do wash out a bit beyond that viewing angle. However, I've read the 55-inch version uses an IPS screen, so that might be a better option for anyone who regularly watches TV way off access.

Excellent 4k tv works great connected to pc and xbox one. Tablet is nice as well. So far no issues and i really enjoy it.

Definitely does the trick. Excellent for watching streaming movies. Looking forward to watching football games on it.

People think just because vizio tv are cheap they're bad. But this is definitely the best 4K tv in 2016 for the price hands down and up there with many Samsung 4K tvs in trems of quality.

Can't go wrong with this 4K TV. It has Dolby Vision, HDR10 and has full back lit LED panel for amazing blacks. Low Lag for gaming, and It's awesome for PC monitor. Vizio has a hit here.

This is the best television I have ever purchased. I went with it over a 1080p LED TV. The blacks a perfect crisp picture and despite other reviews I like the tablet remote.

Bought this as a display, but I've got to say great buy for the money! Associate even threw in a remote they had lying around.
