Great Drive. Prices of these drives has dropped so low and this is a top tier brand at a budget price. Installs in seconds, format it, off we go. I have this model in 3 different PCs as my boot drive as the PCs startup noticeably quicker compared to boot drives I used in the past such as the Intel 660p and Samsung 970 nvme drives. World's better than the old data ssds, even better ones from Samsung. Quality of these drives is in line with Samsungs higher end drives, but this one was priced less than the comparable Samsung. I am confident these will last a very long time.

I am a tech and enthusiast and i swapped this drive in and out of a Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Alpha and HP Sceptre 360. It adds significant snappiness compared to the stock drive in my opinion. I owned the previous gen 3 in a desktop I’ve since sold, and it was also rock solid there too. This Gen. 4 is faster and currently lower cost. I chose a 500gb due to quick local access. I’ve had other brands and I’m not into splitting hairs. These are certainly a solid buy when they’re on sale like they are right now. A no brainer if your laptop has a user serviceable hard drive. It’s usually 4-8 screws and use a good strong suction cup to pull the back panel. Watch a YouTube for your specific model. 15 minute swap job in 90% of cases less the re-install of windows from the Windows 11 bootable flash drive you’ve already created on a 8gb minimum flash drive that matches ports you obviously have on said laptop. Excellent card! I edit and create content on an Asus ROG gaming laptop thats couple years old and only had an HDD. I upgraded to this SSD and installed the opsystem on it. I was AMAZED at how much faster not only the op system ran but opening & closing apps/games & booting up was increased tremendously! Anyone with a small screwdriver could install. When searching western digitals website for an updated driver to download instead of the generic Microsoft one, I couldn’t seem to locate it. However, they do offer an app with many options. Highly recommended if your wanting to upgrade from a slow HDD.

Excellent price, amazing product... there is a software that needs to be downloaded to get the full settings of it, It's available on their website (WDBlack)

I had alot of issues running my OS on my HDD once i got this SSD it fixed it and has a better boot and faster response time!
