Needed to replace an external drive to use for time machine backups. I previously owned a seagate and decided to go with the proven product price was right too

Easy to install. Computer bios picked it up immediately. Had to help Windows 10 find it. Had it installed and ready in 10 minutes.

This was very easy to install and the drivers were also easy to install. Works like a charm. Had to get a new one since my other one died.

I've been most satisfied with past Western Digital products, and this hard disk is no exception. Just the drive I needed as a secondary device in my mid-2012 MacBook Pro, as its optical bay can't reliably handle SATA III devices. I may have given this advice before, but if you have between an early-2011 and late-2012 MBP and want to add a secondary drive to complement your SSD, you MUST install no later than a SATA-II device in the optical bay. This drive has performed quite efficiently and reliably since it was installed; definitely worth the trip!

I needed a replacement hard drive for my sons laptop. This one was the right size and price. It was a say to the install and was up and running in no time.

Purchased this HDD to replace a failing one in a Dell laptop. Along with this HDD I purchased the Apricorn - EZ Upgrade 3.0 Serial ATA Hard Drive Upgrade Kit. The transfer from the old HDD to the new was quick and painless and I was done with the new HDD install and data transfer in under an hour. It also appears to be slightly faster than the original HDD but this could be due to the old HDD having some problems. The best way to describe this is Quick and Painless. John C.

Drive worked well. I was able to transfer data from a 750MB drive to the 1TB using a duplicator. Drive is quiet and fast.

Bought this for my son's ASUS 455A laptop that had a hard drive failure. My 15 yr old son opened up the access panel, unplugged the old drive, popped in the new drive and loaded the OS. He had it running inside of an hour without my help so I'm definitely giving this two thumbs up. He's been running his laptop daily since then and still no problems (8 weeks now).

This is my go to hard drive for data storage. This drive is an easy addition to a laptop or small desktop computer. It's a great bare bones drive.

As far as a spinning storage drive goes in 2024, WD manages perfect for mass storage on security system and at a perfect price point. It wont be the fastest storage retrieval but is reliable and comes with fantastic warranty.
