    Bought and installed this HDD in a new Dell laptop I bought from Best Buy that came with a 256GB SSD. The amount of photos and files I had exceeded the capacity of the SSD so this 1TB HDD was an easy installation to compliment the SSD to store all my files.

    Only $50! A great buy and always in stock. WD blue reasonable speed and can say I have yet to have one fail on me. This is the go-to for my customers and technicians locally. Best buy has other sizes available for servers and power users but this size is appropriate for most mainstream users.

    This drive is a typical HDD with 7200 RPM and 8 MB buffer. Do not expect phenomenal read and write speed. It is really economic for basic storage, reliable.

    The hard drive is perfect. the reason why I did not give it five stars. is that when I bought my laptop. I put full coverage and each time I use the geek squad lately. Stead of them fixing my laptop they kept breaking it. maybe it's just me But it just went in for a !!hard drive!! and all the sudden my window broke on it the handles broke on it and happen inside the shop in the Best Buy store! it's been almost 2 months and I haven't seen my laptop since then? They send it back to HP and hopefully something happens and I finally get my laptop or I guess I just buy a new one?

    Bought this hard drive to repair a laptop. I can remember when Best Buy had tons of options to choose from in hardware. Not today. This was my only option. Its been working great so far.
