Bought this drive to expand my laptop's storage. Had to format it out of the box, but that is the normal process. No issues since installation!

Bought this drive to replace a bad on in the XBox. Followed the tutorial on line to partition and format the drive, took about an hour total and we were back gaming with no issues. Perfect match and way better than buying a new XBox!

I needed to source a hard drive locally. I was surprised Best Buy had one (and only one) in stock. I was able to save everything from a dying hard drive to it before significant data loss and when everything was done I could notice the difference in performance over the Toshiba that was failing (that I put in there only a couple of months prior).

I chose this hard drive after looking at a Toshiba 1 TB hdd. The Toshiba drive was about $5.00 less. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. So I did not choose the least expensive, I chose the name brand in HDD's that I have trusted for a long time, Western Digital. I know mechanical drives will eventually fail, but for my money, I really like WD!

My laptop had space for a 2nd HD, and I was tired of using a usb drive for my other job, so I got this, put it in, transferred the 800 gigs of files I had, and now the mobility of my job is must easier, and I no longer have to worry about hitting the usb cord by accident. Plus, file transfer and searching is much faster.

I've installed hundreds of hard drives over the last 10 years and every single one has been a Western Digital. How many have failed in that time period? 2. That's it. Both by the same person, so I'm convinced it was more of a problem with her treatment of her laptop than a problem with the construction. There is no other brand to buy.

I thought my computer was dead, but the Geek Squad installed a new hard drive and now I'm back in business. I had backed up my files in the cloud so I was able to reinstall all my data without a problem.

Replaced the stock drive in an Uncharted special edition PS4. The entire process took about 20 minutes (not including all of the downloads of course). Pretty easy, but be sure to download the latest full OS from the PlayStation site onto a USB stick. The drive is quiet and seems to ripen cool enough. Recommended for a PS4.

I know next to nothing on this topic. Geek squad, however, does. They did the replacement, reloaded the requisite programs and data, and now the computer works like new. I was afraid the cost to fix it would be greater than just buying a new laptop. Thankfully, I was wrong (because I really like this laptop); cost to fix was only $65.
