Great drive for backup storage. You can remove the hard drives from the case and put them in a PC or NAS unit, but it will void your warranty. Have several different versions going back to the 8TBs from several years ago - never had an issue with any of them and I've bought quite a few!

Works well. A bit loud when it's on, but great value.

This hard drive was bought for my Xbox One X. I ran out of internal storage fast and had to upgrade. This is the largest size hard drive able to use on the Xbox One X. Very simple to format and install. I have over 650 games on it now and have about 7tb of space left to use. Very fast to download and transfer games.

Great Drive for Storage, a lot of space but it is so loud.

These drives are great! I’ve only had issue with one out of the 11 I’ve bought over the years. I usually wait for the sales around thanksgiving since they get nicely discounted.

Excellent external hard drive..i have been buying WD externals for a while now..once in a while you get a bad one that goes dead in few weeks but lately they have been great..i still think seagate is better but this does the job too and you get a lot of storage!

Easy setup, I love the ability to setup a password

WD easystore 16tb external drive works great, like all WD drives I have had. It is plug-in, and works right out of the box. Storage is unbelievable. I would highly recommend to anyone that stores a LOT of pictures, or that is into genealogy. LOts and lots of storage.

I purchased this drive to back up my MP4 files. It works well for this. I have it set to back up automatically at a certain time of day. It has plenty of space for multiple backups. It can also be password protected. All in all, I would recommend this drive.

Very convenient & easy to set up. I do notice an occasional delay when opening the drive in File Explorer, but nothing of any consequence or concern. Would have no hesitation getting another one once this one gets filled up.

I got this for mass data backup of my rather large collection of audio files. Since many of the files are high definition, I needed a lot of capacity. This drive is not the fastest, but it is adequately quick for my needs.

The EasyStore Hard Drive was a sound investment. At 16TB - it provides ample storage. Disk speed is 7200 RPM. I am satisfied with Best Buy’s store pick up - which was faster than ordering at Amazon. Satisfied customer!

I love the deals bestbuy has on these WD drives! It’s cheaper to buy and shuck the drives for my NAS. Bought six 16tb drives and they have all been working great in my synology DS 1520+

I connected this drive to my NAS to backup files stored on a Zappiti NEO media station. Many people "shuck" this drive for the HDD, but I kept it intact. No complaints so far.

Great 16tb drive, you can shuck it or leave it in its enclosure but either way its 16tb of extra storage and cheaper than internal drives of the same size

good value for the price. plug and play installation. replaced three smaller external drives to consolidate my backups to one drive.

Lots of room, relatively fast for a mechanical drive. Arrived in working condition which is a plus when one considers how UPS and FedEx handle packages. So far so good.

On sale for around $200 was a must buy for this much storage, but if you ain't hurting for the space I would wait for better and/or cheaper.

I don’t have anything to complain about except the price. I know this device has the capability of storing quite a bit but for $289 that’s a little pricey.
