Works as expected. I plugged it in and was able to transfer files. Really all I could ask. All told, I am happy with the purchase.

I use this for my Plex server and never a problem or skip on performance.

I use it for my Xbox Series X and works amazing. But as the norm, u can’t play series X games directly from it but you can play Xbox one games directly from it.

This is a great external hard drive with significant capacity. It was a great deal and would recommend it for those who wish to archive large files, etc.

Good backup drive. Its a bit clicky and noisy on a desk though... Its scary but hasnt died so its a good thing. I used for backing up my system. Only 14TB usable...

I have always purchased Western Digital Hard Disk Drives. This external hard drive is very sleek and fast as well. I have had it running 24/7 for additional storage.

Have not had it long, but first impressions are that it is everything that I hoped for. It is compact, quiet, fast and a great price.

Hate to give a HD an early review as time tells with these things, but so far it has been doing a great job. Using this as a back to a NAS. Only issue I have is that the casing puts the HD into hibernation mode when I need it to be on at all times. But not a big deal; it is actually forcing me to have more security by keeping it disconnected except when backing up. Great drive and always better when on sale!

Very solid both software and hardware. So far everything is perfect!!

No further need for backup space now. And nice that I can store in my fireproof safe, if need be.

I've always found these western digital external hard drives to he reliable. had a couple already for years and no issues at all

It’s a okay drive. Had to return first one because of excessive vibration and head banging noise in case. Second drive has no vibration but still has heads banging in case when NOT being accesssed. Gets quiet when reading. Laid drive on it’s side, it helps slightly. This is a known issue WD, even had it with a 12 tb drive when upright, that one is silent when laid on its side now.
