I got this to add extra storage space to my PS4 and it works beautifully and was a good price

Drive was taken right out of the box, and connected to a Windows 10 computer as per the instructions. Restarted computer, and the drive was not recognized. The drive was originally formatted as exFAT, but that didn’t work with my Windows operating system. I subsequently reformatted the drive as NTFS, and now it works fine. Frustrating.

Easy to set up and use. It works great as a scratch workspace and to store large data files.

I always trust wd. The my book has never let me down. I own 4 of them two for pc backup and general file storage. One as an off line backup and one for the xbox. have run flawlessly for over 5 years. Except this last one that was purchased recently for my sons xbox.

I've been a die hard Seagate/Maxtor (if you've been around computers for some time, you know who Maxtor was), but was able to this 4TB HDD on the cheap so i figured to give it shot. It was easy to set up and get up and running. Plus with the 3.0 USB interface, transfers are lighting fast. I've been impressed by this WD My Book that I went out and got a 2tb My Passport. I'm now a WD believer.

I've always used WD drives... easy set up... partitioned it to my preferences... so far no problems... did not use any of included software. Got it at a great price.

Set-up was easy and the drive is performing as expected. The backup software is easy to follow but I am having issues in it recognizing older WD external drives. The drive sp (USB 3.0) is outstanding for software or manual backup and pulling files between multiple drives. Highly recommended.

Nice hard drive, good price. I only gave it 4 stars because I did have a small problem. After I connected it, my computer did not see the drive and computer did not boot up. After spending 2 hours with on the phone with WD techs, They said my computer bios needed to be changed to start properly. So what I do now is turn on the computer, than after it boots up I turn on the WD drive.

Purchased as a gift for a friend, I have heard nothing but good reviews for this product. A good investment for storage needs. Efficient and fast for pulling up data.

I am not a fan of the design WD is using on this model and some of the other ones but I won't knock it because it personal preference. As far as doing what it is supposed to do it does it very well its quite, fast (for its connection and drive type) and if you get it on sale (I did) a good price for the capacity.

I have bought Five Western Digital Hard Drives over the last decade ranging from 500MB to 4TB. They work great, no fuss. I use them on my Windows Computer and my Apple Macintosh computers. While Windows will only read/write to Windows formatted HD, the Apple Macintosh will read/write to both-Windows and Apple MacOS.

Got this drive at a great deal. The brand speaks for itself. Very happy that I would highly recommend this drive.

These WD External Hard Drives work great for all your data backups. This unit works very fast, and it has plenty of storage space being a (4) TB unit. This is my third WD External Drive, and I have never had any issues with them at all. BestBuy always has special sales on these drives, so you cannot beat their prices!

The price for the external 4TB Hard drive was just what I needed and affordable. Best of all no waiting since BestBuy had it in stock at my local store. A quick format to the Apple file system and I have all the backup space that I need.

I use my WD - My Book for my system backups. It is fast and reliable. My Western Digital drive outlasted other brands that failed early. I will only buy Western Digital drive because of their longevity.
