I wanted a smaller capacity external drive to back up certain files from my computer This is perfect. It is fast, was easy to set up, and was reasonably priced.

This works great. I have flac music files downloaded to it and connect it to my music streamer. Plenty of storage and works great. Plus, the portable size is perfect! And the price is very reasonable

The portable hard drive was a great price and provided more than I even needed. This is super small, but packs a really big savings and offers much more than expected. I would recommend everyone I know to use this personally or for a small business.

I have owned this drive for about 5 months. I use this device to perform weekly selective backups of my desktop. So far it has worked great. The drive is fast and has been reliable. I ended up ditching the included Acronis True Image backup software for something more configurable. Ended up going with Imperius Backup. Being only 1TB makes it a little tight regarding space. Since I am doing mirror selective (everything except apps) backups of a 1TB drive it has served its purpose well. If you want to keep multiple full images or incremental backups, you might want to go with something with a higher capacity. I would recommend this drive to others.

Holds a lot of files and is easy to operate. I backed up all my documents and photos, as I am an author. For the price and the tiny size, it works great. I haven't tried to make changes yet but it seems easy to operate. I recommend it.

I bought this external hard drive to expand upon the storage of my PS4. It works seamlessly. It seems to go on sale quite often, so wait until then to buy.

i don't really buy hard drives to store unimportant material - does anyone? So when I need reliability over the years through several purchases and other failed drives I've learned (pr noticed rather) that Western Digital is the one brand of drive I still have going on years and years of storage and use. They seem to last, and that cannot be a coincidence. I won't buy any other brand. This particular model is great, highly portable and lightweight. Fits nicely in any bag I take to travel or when I'm mobile with work. Built with durability in mind and they last. I have over 6 of these in regular use and only had one fail on me in over a decade.

All our instructors run their classes off of portable hard drives so no matter what computer they might be using, they have access to all their information to run a smooth class. These devices run fast enough for playback of video with no hang up. They are small enough for storing in their computer bags that have little storage space. They are durable (I wouldn't drop it off of a building though). They get a little warm after reading/writing large files, but not where I feels it impedes its ability to still read/write at its optimal speed. I like WD when it comes to there large capacity storage devices.

The perfect alternative to purchasing a new computer is buying more storage, so I did! Its easy to navigate, easy to install and it helps my budget.
