Western Digital is well renown for their products. You can never have too much storage. For those of us that are not completely on the cloud bandwagon, this is the way to go. You can back up anything and be able to retrieve it when YOU want. Servers can go down or be delayed. Also, this can be used for video game storage for all you gamers out there. You do not need to buy a system for an additional 100 + bucks for extra storage. This will save you money and time in the long run.

I have several of this model disk by Western Digital and they all have been very reliable, fairly quick using USB3 and a MacBook, and a good value for the money. I have a pair and they work well as a Mac TimeMachine backup target that I alternate. I also have a second pair that I use as my photo library primary and duplicate backup. Over the years I have been very satisfied with Western Digital products.

I wanted something to simply download my computer full file backups to take with me on trips in case I needed to review documents, etc. while traveling. I bought three of these portable hard drives because they were reasonably priced and didn't need any additional electrical plugins other than the USB-3 cables. So far these 2TB drives worked like a charm, have plenty of space, and so far never missed a beat in reviewing any needed files.

I am a photographer and need storage devices for my photos. The Western Digital My Passport Hard Drives are the best ones I have found. They plug in easily to my computer at home, or my laptop while I am traveling, so that I always have space to store and access my photos. They are easy to take along when I travel because they are compact and well made. I would recommend these for any storage needs you may have. I have several of them that I have been using for years.

My wife tends to upgrade her phone and computer/tablet more often than I care to admit. When she does so, she transfers her files to an external hard drive. Well, she ran out of room with smaller ones and so we went with this. She has been able to transfer all of her files to this and has plenty more room to go. File transfer is quick, small enough to be portable with no issues, and the cables fit snuggly with no issues. Would definitely recommend.

We live in a high fire danger area and this device is perfect for backing up our home computer and then storing in the bank safety deposit box. It's slim design and large capacity are perfect for data, music and video files and the 2TB size provides a lot of storage space for the cost. Setup and use are extremely easy. Highly recommend.

This external drive is used to store the excess data and media since I have a Macbook Air with limited storage capacity. I just invested in this and wondered why I haven't gotten one before now with the constant struggles I have with my storage. I love the color, it's lightweight and is easy to use and format after checking out a couple videos on youtube. Got it on sale at a great price.

This device I purchased as an external memory for my PlayStation 5. This thing holds all my PS4 games/memory without even going under 1TB! That frees up my PS5 to store only P5 games! Which 850GB still isn’t a lot and I can’t store P5 games on the hard drive, but it is what it is! My old 1TB PS4 was pretty much full with what I had on it, but this still allows me just over 1TB of free space!

Works great right out of the box. Have years worth of travel photos on laptops, tablets, phones, and various storage devices, I wanted to consolidate all photos in one place and free up storage on my Surface Pro. Use the provided USB cable and send whatever you want to My Passport. No brainer. I probably will purchase another to back up other files and transition from purchased apps that I currently use.

Its so tiny and powerful and SO WORTH IT. I have SO MUCH STORAGE NOW. I just need to get some velcro adhesive stuff to stick it to my laptop so the cord is out of the way but this was perfect.

I like how thin and portable it is, plus still has great storage for all my photos. Nice that there are a couple color options too. I love the blue, stands out so I can't misplace it. My previous Passport was black and much thicker.

2TB gives me ample enough amount of space to backup my pics, vids, music, and important docs. Very portable laptop harddrive sized form factor. And on top of that, it has a password protected encryption feature out of the box. The out of the box encryption feature is why I bought this over an easystore. Recommended buy if you want out of the box security/encryption on information you'd like to keep safe.

My husband is the IT guy for our household and is very picky about what items he trust. Well after talking to Sales guy I purchased this item over the one he asked me to get. He has made no complaints nor snarky remarks. So I guess that means It’s as great As suggested.

I purchased a drive on Amazon that turned out to be junk, it didn’t work. So I ran down to Best Buy and picked this drive up. It cost a little more but it was from a reliable maker with more features. I wish I had gone to Best Buy to start with, because I know I would get a better product there.

Western Digital makes reliable portable drives. A have several from the Passport line and I needed a 2 TB drive. Why blue? For the same reason one might color code any set of similar or identical items - it makes it easy to find the one I am looking for.

Nothing to tell. Found immediately by Windows 7 and Windows 10. Ready to write. I created a backup disk image first thing. No issues. I was backing up a 2 TB hard drive, and expected the disk image to occupy the entire Passport drive. It required only 0.4TB for the disk image. I can make regular incremental backups to the drive, while keeping the Disk Image.

Great device. Very compact. Distinguishable by its color which permits easy identification of data versus that retained on other hard drives. Super easy installation and use.
