Works great! I use it for storing video files and it's fast enough to be able to directly edit from it. I have 2 of these now and haven't had any issues.

I've been running my two 1TB external hard drives to the limit the past few months. With this 5TB upgrade I'm re-purposing one old external as a home network storage and the other as a gaming hard drive. This 5TB should hold us over for a while even with constant backups of photos, videos, and other work.

Great product! I was a little disappointed that this did not come with a USB-C adapter. I say this because I bought the same exact hard drive before that came with one but also since technology is ever changing USB-C has gradually been on products the past few years.

Feels solid in your hand, the connecting cable is somewhere between annoying and perfect. No internal movement or rattle when you move it around. Not sure how well it would survive a drop. It does what it is supposed to do without a hitch. Your mileage may vary but I am happy with this purchase.

I wanted something to create a backup since my alienware was giving me troubles and I already lost a bunch of my VMs with data. I bought it when it was on sale. It comes with the hardware encryption module, which is quite interesting. The speed benchmarks were similar to any regular harddrive.

Again, Great Product. Very good at figuring out how to get the product to you when buying it online and wanting to pick it up at the store during the time of the virus. Pickup went very smoothly. Person was great to deal with.

My first instinct was to plug it into my Linux Mint machine. No cigar! Not recognizable. Here comes the Linux guru: gparted to the rescue. Split the drive into 2 partitions 2.5Gb each. Voila, how I have 2 drives to use. Used the first partition to backup all of the other 2TB drive. Life is good.

Large storage amount and glad for that and the price was good. Only issue seems that transfer is slower than what I expected. Took a long time..an hour and a half to transfer pics and videos. Not sure whose fault that is, since I bought a top of the line Asus last year, and seems transfer should go faster.
