Drive failed in one week

Backed up about 400 gb over a 5 day period and on sixth day, drive failed completely. Took drive to Best Buy to see if they could recover. Drive could not be recovered. Good news is I got my money back. DID NOT GET ANOTHER DRIVE...Very bad experiance with this version of backup/portable drive.

Currently having issues with the hard drive where if I move some video files onto this hard drive. There seems to be corrupted frames when watching videos. It’s kind of annoying.

I can hear this drive spinning up and it always sounds as if it's about to give out. It responds as if it's a hard-drive from 1995. Very very slow. I also purchased the following incredibly lightning fast drives from Best Buy (One Crucial - MX500 2TB Internal SSD SATA and Two SanDisk Professional - G-DRIVE ArmorATD 4TB External USB-C Portable Hard Drive)

The harddrive is already clicking and failing to be read by the computer. I used this harddrive to backup everything i own Family Photos/Video everything. I contacted WesternDigital only to be told the harddrive would be replaced (how reassuring when i could be sent another defective one) and that they will not provide help for Data Recovery. Not everyone has a backup plan when the product is suppose to work and was the backup of data in the 1st place. I am done with HDD drives. Very expensive to move over to SSD but I have to do it. Bestbuy should stop putting WD products on store shelves if this is the customer support we are going to get from people losing important data because WesternDigital simply does not give a darn

Good capacity at a great price, but maybe I just got a lemon. Never had issues before with WD, so I'll just write this off as a bad one.

It had drive errors within 6 months and I had to reformat it after buying another drive and offloading all the content. Don’t trust it.
