5 TB it's a lot of storage -at least for me- and the possibility of having an additional backup of all my family digital files in this small device is great. Also, I found it great for saving my music digital collection, and my our project-bass recordings.

Lots of storage, very compact, but seems to bog down when playing back 4K video from GoPro.

Alot of memory for the price, and is so compact compaired to my old external harddrive.

Needed a portable drive for my PS4 pro as it was running out of space. Picked up My Passport 5TB and it is been great. I was able to move most of my unplayed games to this drive and only keep the games that I play on internal drive. There might be slight slowness but not enough to cause issues. Overall, I would recommend this drive.

Best price per storage size for the price. When you do the match this is an excellent choice. It’s not a SSD but all things considered it’s a good deal. My only worry is that if I was to ever misplace the cord to hook to your USB drive, It is a special interface.

My 2017 HP Envy computer is always stopping in the middle of completing a task and we have all of our digital photographs stored on the hard drive, there for this unit will backup our system totally and it does it very quickly because it is an electronic storage unit which means your photographs will always be protected forever without any degradation.

Bought this to replace a 2tb USB drive that failed. It was on sale and I had some Best Buy rewards so the price was great. With 5tb it has plenty of space for my music, pictures, and documents. The USB 3.0 handled my first full back up in better than half the time of my previous drive.

I buy Western Digital hard drives for their reliability. I have purchased about 20 for me & familiy members over the past 10 years or so. Not a failure yet.

I needed something external and portable for my new laptop. The price difference between 4 and 5 TB wasn't significant, so I went up a size. I haven't tried gaming off of it yet, but I did download large quantities of info directly to the drive and it went smoothly.

Nothing particularly special about the Passport drive. Nice size, good capacity and seem to meet my needs.

Bought this to replace an existing 5TB drive that had somehow become corrupted. Bought software online to salvage as much of my files as I could from the previous hard drive and so far this WD 5TB has held up. Would buy again.

The storage capacity on this holds 18 years of two childrens lives, 25 years of marriage, and six college degrees worth of data …. And its far from full!!!!
