I have several external hard drives. I purchased the my passport 1TB, I keep Records & photos on the portable hard drive. I use to keep Mac Clean & back for records. This size holds a lot. But you never want to Totally fill, sometimes they will not work properly if to full.

I use this to store photos to edit into Adobe Lightroom. I typically store the photos on the drive and then edit them directly in Adobe Lightroom. This drive is fast enough to do so and was a great value. I considered upgrading to a SSD, but this works fine for what I use it for.

Being used by my wife for external storage. Not very techie and she has had no complaints.

Been needing to buy an external hard drive for my Mac and finally got it. Love how it was already formatted for my computer and all I had to do was plug it in and select that I wanted to use it for time machine. Now every time it is plugged in, it backups automatically.

This Passport mac 1TB is great. I just bought me a new Mac and wanted all my files in the same place. I’ve downloaded all of my pictures and school work. The great thing is I have plenty more space and it’s very easy to use .. you will love it and you can’t go wrong.

I say good so far because in the past Western digital internal hard drives (2.5") have failed long before they should have. That was then, this is now. This is also a different breed and it was on sale so I gave it a try. As always I back everything up so not worried from a loss standpoint, I just want it to work well for a while to get my money's worth. We will see. Only four stars because of the trouble I have had with WD drives in the past, but so far so good.

Works great and does what it’s supposed to do. Mostly plug and play with my Mac which is perfect for me.

This system is a very positive upgrade from the older external I used to have. Lots of space, great price.

These portable drives do not disappoint when it comes to taking a lot of information with you. I use it for work because standard jump drives don't get it done like these.

It's a good size for the amount of storage. It was easy to use initially and so far is holding up well.

If you don't want to loose the data of your Apple notebook, this is the way to go. You don't even have to read the manual. Plug it to the USB of your Apple and the user friendly software will guide you through. It even performs back ups every hour. I recommend it.

This is the second Western Digital external hard drive I've owned. I've had the first one since July 2010 and it still works fine. I've had the My Passport for Mac now for about a month and a half. It works fine and I've had absolutely no issues with it.

so far so good and hopefully when i need this info it will be easily accessible.

I talked to the Sales Associate who asked me what type of back up device I needed for my MacBook and iMac5K. He helped me to select this unit. I formatted it into two partitions. Works well. Glen

My previous hard drive quit working and was causing problems with my computer so I decided to purchase this WD drive although I had not used this brand previously. It installed easily and began working immediately. It has proven to be a very fine unit so far.
