Failed within first month. Exchange available was for the (non-Mac) drive. Once set up, works fine but (unlike Mac drive) comes without lightning cord.

Great price, and so far so good...I bought this in a pinch emergency back up while my macbook was at the genius bar; just in case. I've 'wiped' it once and still haven't done anything more than create a 'partition' ...

This is a decent hard drive made by a reputable company WD. I'm not a big fan of the design but it's compact and gets the job done. Nothing really to complain about.

If you are looking to buy this device don’t do it. I just bought it a couple months ago and the port on the hard drive is broke and I had thousands of pictures backed up to it. WD is the only place to do the data recovery because of the way they make this and they charge you way too much to get you’re data off. Look somewhere else for a hard drive because this one isn’t for you!
