Easy to use

Just transferred it right into the hard drive from my 2011 MacBook Pro and it was easy to do. My computer was lagging a lot so I saved my files through the hard drive to just in case the computer stops running and it seems to be working well.

Decent External Drive

I purchased this drive to replace a 5 yr old WD My Passport for Mac that unexpectedly failed. Thankfully I had another backup of those photos or I would have lost years of digital photos. Not sure if I'm smart replacing a failed unit with the same unit, but I'm giving it a shot and keeping a 2nd backup of all items again.

I strongly recommend it for anyone that does anything electronic (programmers, audio engineers, writers). It's very compact and convenient, so you can take it anywhere. Overall a very well engineered product. I love My Passport!

Great Backup Drive

I have this version and the SSD version, and obviously the SSD version is much faster. For a standard HDD, this device works just fine and was easy to setup. In short, if you need speed, spend a few extra dollars on the SSD version, otherwise, if it's just for utility purposes, this one will work just fine.

This hard drive is perfect for a daily driver and or file safe for backups of photos and or other important files! I couldn’t ask for more when buying a external hard drive!

Great Storage

A great sales associate recommended this to me and gave me some great tips too! I save everything now to my Passport leaving the space I need for my laptop to run. My laptop is working like new again.

Amazing portability

It will fit easily in a slim pouch or sleeve in your bag and is also super lightweight. Note that this is specifically designed for Mac, this drive will not read when connected to a Windows based machine.

And sometimes doesn't work at all. So I glad to be able to get a device that works amazing with my three year old mac.

A much needed accessory

This was recommended by a salesman and it's great. Easy to set up and light enough to carry with me when I am on the go. I have purchased others as backups and have had no issues.

Works Great With My MacBook Pro

No issues, nothing extra to download. This is my second WD external drive and I've never had a moments trouble out of either of them. I would highly recommend this product.

WD works very well with my Macbook Pro. It automatically backs up everything on my laptop whenever I plug it in. Highly recommend.

Easy to set up out of the box and just plug in with my computer adapter for the Apple Macbook Pro.

Quite fast I also have a folder for my Quickens bank account to back up my files
