    Picked up this portable storage device for my daughter who's in college and needed backup device for her MacBook Pro. Installed easily without any problems. Very fast speeds. Have always been impressed with WD drives. Very reliable. Also was recommended by the local Apple Repair Dealer.

    GOod value for money. USe it for time machine back ups on Mac OS Monterey. It is slow for the first go round but then works great on the schedule.Reformat and erase first! I don't use any WD software that comes with it.

    Has great storage. I was able to download all the data from my MAC. The external drive has still more storage even after this download. It is worth the money I paid.

    Does what I need. No problems. I didn’t use the software on the drive. I configured it to my usage because I wanted to use it both as a MacBook Time Machine and a PC/Mac storage drive but it works well.

    My first experience with an external hard drive, so this isn't a review for tech sophisticates. I wanted ease of use, simplicity, and intuitive integration with my Macbook Pro. The WD - My Passport provided all that. Super simple to use and quick backup. I'm pleased with it.

    Simple to use. Just plugged it in to my Mac laptop and dragged folders over. Larger folders took a few minutes to copy over but it was a very simple and efficient process. Secured my files for a reasonable price and not much effort.

    This is a perfectly adequate back up external hard drive for your Mac or iMac. It is an older model, but it comes with a dongle to convert from USB A to USB C.
