Works great with Mac OS. Very easy to use. Is very fast.

The WD Passport for Mac is an easy to use backup drive . Mine has a 2 TB capacity. I have thousands of high resolution photos that use a lot of space so I wanted a large capacity backup. I have used other backup drives but I think this one works the best.

This hard drive was so easy to use. I just plugged it in and it was already formatted for a Mac. I typically use Windows but I bought this for my wife’s Mac. Since I’m less familiar with Macs sometimes I have trouble figuring things out. But I was able to back up her computer very easily.

I chose the "My Passport for Mac 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive with Hardware Encryption" because of recommendations from a friend and staff at Best Buy. It is Just the size I need it is easy to use and easy to carry. I would purchase this again if I needed to.

It’s a must buy for my old mac. Rest assured, everything in my computer is backed up. It emptied some space in my computer and at the same time, I was able to store thousands of the photos. Encryption takes forever, though.

Having had several 4tb drives, the WD My Passport is the one we keep going back to for more. Other brands have failed and needed replacing -- this one has always worked, so keep getting additional units, for more storage, Mac Time Machine, and other backups.

This unit was a game changer. I would highly recommend this storage device as it is easy to use and has a tremendous amount of capacity. I have tried many other devices ranging from 500 GB to 1 TB and the units were failing up until I found this one.

I was in the middle of a video project when the editor ran out of storage space. I went to the nearest Best Buy and got this great external hard drive for an excellent price, and could easily solve the storage issue and complete the project.

I shoot a lot of very high res digital photos. So I’ve purchased two. First one about a year ago for doing my laptop backups and now one for storing my ever growing data base of photos. So far I’ve had no issues from either one.

This external drive has great storage capacity and was available at a reasonable price. It does not earn five stars, though, because, while it says it is a USB-C drive, that is not entirely accurate. The drive uses the exact same interface as previous USB drives before it... It is the cable that has a USB-C interface on one end. Therefore, if you thought you would be able to plug a USB-C cable directly into the drive, you would have been mistaken. This setup does give some flexibility in that the drive does come with both a traditional USB cable, as well as a USB-C cable, so you can be relatively assured it will work with whatever computer you have. If you were looking for a drive with a direct USB-C interface, however, this is not it.

The Passport is so handy for storing photos and movies--it's easy to use and very light. I also back up all my files on all my computers, and when it gets full, I put that in the safe and buy another: easy and reliable.

Was worried that this would not work with a MAC computer due to all the reviews I have read about MAC accessories but have had no problem with using this Hard Drive and backing up my material is a breeze.

I have several external storage devices and this adds another to the library at an affordable price. The Western Digitals have been nothing but reliable for me and this 2TB device is no exception.

I got the 2 TB instead of the 1 TB because the price between both was minimal. I don't really understand how it works or how to save stuff just to the hard disk instead of my computer, or how Apple sells a $2,000 Mac book pro with basically no storage, but soon I'll figure this out. I can and do hook this up to my computer and I have saved stuff on it. I would prefer the computer storage because it's annoying to have a small laptop and have to carry this hard disk around with me, but a little more apple storage on my laptop would have been another thousand dollars. This little hard drive storage drive was the only compromise I had to that, and much, much less expensive!

Don’t miss this little gem. If you want and need seamless backup for your Mac book air you will want this unit. Easy set up - plug and play. With 2TB of storage you will be hard pressed to run out of room.

Have ben using this HDD for DJ gigs for about a year, and have had ZERO issues with it. Very fast for not being an SSD, and communicates seamless with my 2018 MacBook Pro

I bought this for my son, who is a college freshman. It's small size is perfect for a dorm room and it is easy to use, which encourages him to use it frequently to save his work.

The drive is nice and compact. I haven’t had any issues so far and I’ve had it for a couple months now. It transfers data fast through usb-c and doesn’t make any noise.

This backup was incredibly simple to connect and use. Up and running in about a minute. It has been used to provide the reliability I need to ensure my data is always backedup.
