Good portable hard drive with a USB-C cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK - most of these portable hard drives are good - not much difference between them (I'm still waiting for a SSD that's cheaper.... they're coming close). This one, however, comes with two cables to connect it to your computer - a standard USB-B high speed (the flat one with two parts that plugs into the PHD) and a standard USB-A plug that we've seen for years. The other is a USB-B high speed with a USB-C connector... the new MacBook Pro has four of these ports. So you get a faster connection with no adaptors. Nice! I'm using this connector with my other portable hard drives.

I just plugged it in, started Time Machine (backup software), and it went right to work. It was very easy. Works very quietly in the background and you never know it’s there. I’ve already used it to retrieve files...which was very easy to do. That’s what I like. Easy and simple. Lots of capacity, and the auto-backup provides peace of mind. That makes it a great value for me.
