I love this smart plug. I am using the to control my Christmas lights. Can control from the app, syncs with my Google home, what more can i ask for!

Using this to control my new Heat Trak system. It's so convenient to remote start this from another location plus the added security of snow/ice free stairs.

## Setup Like most smart devices, setting up the Wemo Outdoor Plug requires downloading the Wemo app and creating a Wemo account (if you don't already have one). The app does a good job of guiding you through the setup process and it automatically added the plug to Apple HomeKit for me. Setting up Alexa integration requires going into the "More" section of the app and selecting "Connect to Other Services". The app guided me through installing the Wemo skill in the Alexa app, however, the name I gave the outlet ("back yard") did not carry over to Alexa and I needed to rename it in the Alexa app. ## Performance I've found the outlet to be very responsive in both the Wemo app, the Apple Home app, and with Amazon Alexa. To be fair, the outlet is located fairly close my router inside, which likely contributes to its responsive performance. I do like that there are multiple ways to control the outlet: the Wemo app, the Apple Home app, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, however, I was not able to integrate it with my SmartThings system at this time. ## Some things to know before buying - Although there are two outlets located on this Wemo outdoor unit, they cannot be controlled independently. They both turn on and turn off at the same time. - The cord comes straight down from the outlet. If you plug it into the top outlet, it will block the bottom outlet. - I was not able to add this outlet to SmartThings. It was not detected, even after selecting the Belkin/Wemo option.

This smart plug works great and is very durable! Both plugs do function together, not independently (can't be operated as two separate outlets), but this does allow for two sets of items (lights and decorations) to be connected at once and use the same on/off rules. Setup is incredibly easy, especially if you already have Wemo products set up and are using the app. The only thing I didn't like about it is the plug comes straight down, it would be nice to have it at a 45 degree angle to be able to use on the top outlet without blocking the lower one, but I feel this is only an issue for those who have switched outlets outside. After the plug is set up, it just keeps working! I think that kind of dependability is what really makes the Wemo smart plugs standout and this one is durable and reliable! I would definitely recommend this for those who like to decorate the outside of their house and/or keep lights on their deck to brighten up their yard!

Setup for this device has to be the easiest I have ever had the pleasure of using. I set it up with the Wemo app in which you can scan the Apple Home code that is included with the plug and it self populates and also controls from the HOME app. There was no issue with it finding the network and it functions perfectly inside or out of our brick home on a mesh router system. Unfortunately its either on or off so even with the two outlets on it, all is either on or off and cannot be individually controlled. Programable from the app for on or off hours and situations. Will work in conjunction with other WEMO devices such as a motion detector for even more versatility. 15 amps total for the device, not for each of the two outlets any way you want to split it up, just so it does not exceed 15amps TOTAL. A three prong outlet or adapter is required as the device has a ground plug.

Usually around the Holidays, I will put two potted lighted artificial pine trees on our stoop. In years past, I’ve used an outdoor timer or a remote system that requires me to remember to turn them on at night. Sometimes timers are hard to set or don’t last the season. The remotes get lost and then you have to buy a new unit. Since it was about time to put up my trees again, I was eager to try the Wemo WiFi Smart Outdoor Plug. Set up was easy. If you have a Wemo account, you would use your existing app and sign in to add the plug to your home. If not an existing customer, you can download the Wemo app and register for an account there. One note here that I ran into and doesn’t take away from the review of the unit. The app gave me a suggestion to learn more about the plug and how to set it. When I clicked on their link, though, I was taken to a listing for a dimmer. I was a bit confused by that. Basically, you click the add button and follow the prompts to set up the unit and connect it to your WiFi. When I went to set my times, however, I discovered that I could not do that in one rule set. I had to make a rule on when to turn on and another to turn off. With other non-smart plugs I’ve owned, you could set them from sunset to sunrise, or for certain times. I was a bit dismayed in trying to figure out how to program this properly. You can name your plug with what it is controlling. I named mine “Christmas Trees” (very original, I know). I was able to set up one rule to have the trees come on at 5:30 pm and another rule to control how many hours I wanted it to run. It works like a charm. IF, for some reason, I want to turn them off, there is a power button next to the name of the device so you can turn them off and on again as desired without using the time. One suggestion I’d offer is to make a larger unit, or a strip where you could program multiple routines. People use so many lighted decorations now, and outlets outside of the home aren’t always available.

The Wemo outdoor switch is excellent for outdoor holiday lighting. Set up is very easy with the included quick start guide. The Wemo WiFi outlet has two sockets for lights to plug into. You have the ability to setup schedules for turning on and off the outlets, which is great during the holidays or for outdoor lighting.

This one is simple. Take it out of the box, Download the app and setup and go. If you are in need of a cool way to get your Christmas lights going when you're on the go or just wanna show off your lights when the neighbor switches their power on. ( It can be activated by your voice.) If that ain't cool, I don't know what is. Apple, Android and even Alexa can get in on this one, so there's no excuse to not have control. Oh wait, there's one.; WIFI signal must be on point. So make sure you've some great WIFI or this could quickly get embarrassing. Thankfully, there's a lighting system that will help you to know if you have a strong connection. Once that's all set, let her rip and have a happy holiday season. Oh yeah. One more thing. Yes It's weather proof. I think is a buy.

This smart plug works well, and it appears to be fairly weather resistant. I placed this on my screened in porch to control string lights, so it's not in direct weather, but it still gets some rain, and so far it it's working fine. Setup was fairly simple, and the app allows you almost limitless control over when you want the plug on or off. However the app isn't very intuitive, and I've experienced some bugs on one of my phones; it freezes sometimes when I attempt to edit a schedule for the plug, and I have to manually close and reopen the app and then retry the edit. Other than that one annoyance, the plug and app work great, and it's nice to be able to control the porch lighting from anywhere.

Was super quick and easy to setup including linking to Google Home. Took about 5 mins to download the WeMo app, add the plug (scan the barcode on the back of it) and then link it to Google Assistant (search for WeMo). Now I can just ask Google to turn on the Christmas lights or anything plugged into this outdoor cord. You can also setup a schedule in the app or have it automatically come on at sunset and off at sunrise with just one button click. Planning to pick up 1 or 2 more of these for our other outdoor outlets. The only minor quirky thing I ran into was with the app and typing the name of my city for the auto sunset/sunrise feature. I had to type out the whole name of my city vs. just a few letters.

I purchased this to schedule my Christmas Lights to turn on and off automatically. It works perfectly. Setup was pretty easy. Scheduling took me a moment to figure out, but was still fairly easy to set a schedule for it. It's regular price might be a bit steep ($39.99), but it works very well. Luckily for me, I purchased it when it was a Best Buy Deal of the Day.

Using this for my backyard lights, its weather resistant and easy to set up

I picked up 3 of these to control different zones of my outdoor holiday/christmas/summertime lighting. The WeMo app is sufficient and works very well, but this shines because it works with Apple HomeKit! I setup a few scenes and automation, now i command my lighting with the power if my voice, on my phibe, watch or hompods. It’s awesome!

Provides me with smart access to my external lights without issue. The convenience of being able to label each port, plus the entire device is nice, but it creates some confusion. You are provided an independent name for the entire unit, as well as each plug. Handy to control two different items, or both at the same time.

Works exactly as advertised. Setup can be a bit frustrating, and if your using it outside and your patio sort is shut, it may have some connection issues, but other than that I have no major complaints.

Love the plug. Works perfectly with the app and the rest of our WEMO stuff. 4 stars because the outlets aren’t able to be controlled independently. Also, a little expensive compared to some other outdoor smart plugs
