Easy to install took about 30 minutes nice little microwave

Works well, but does take 30 seconds more to heat food than my last microwave. I don’t mind waiting because the price was great! The rotating plate is great too. My only problem is that the installation instructions were terrible! The provided diagram made me drill a hole through my cabinet in the wrong place. The need to unplug and remove the microwaves fan motor was challenging as well, but doable. I’d suggest measuring everything yourself to be sure. It does work well once finally installed.

I loved this microwave. It has good space and the extractor fan works very well. It's a large size that covers the entire kitchen area below. I recommend it.

Got this microwave and installed it ourselves. We like this because it was rear venting to vent through the wall and acts like a cooking hood to take the smoky stuff outside instead of in the kitchen. This replaces a 19 year old of the same size and brand solely for the wall venting features. The new one does cook much faster than the previous one, of course, its new. We love it.

I haven’t had it for that long! But my last one that was also a Whirlpool lasted 8 years! I am sure this one will also last as long! Love that it’s gray insides & not white!

Pro: Straight forward controls; not ugly; inexpensive; easily installed; good capacity.
Con: Very basic feature set; looking for a break room; fingerprint magnet; mine only seems to have one output intensity and regulates by timing power to the tube.
We bought our Whirlpool for around $200 on sale; it replaced an LG unit that we purchased at the same price that lasted less than 3 years. (Wasteful)
The Whirlpool had the same control panel as I have seen in inexpensive countertop units for years. There is a number pad with quick settings (1 for one minute, 2 for two minutes, etc) or a button you press for finer control of the time and power: you can set time to the second. Power settings simply run the emitter tube all the time or a fraction of the time - but always at full power. Just like 20 years ago. It works - sort of - but at this price more nuance may mean less dependability.
Speaking of power, our prior unit was rated for the same output but seemed to heat about 10% faster than the Whirlpool - not a big deal in our case. Oh, and no temperature probe here but we never used probes on our LG.
Our feeling is the size of the oven chamber is large enough for a medium sized turkey or ham based upon our pans.
We use ours extractor in the recirculator configuration and it works well enough for us, though replacing air filters is a bit of a waste.
It looks good in its setting and I don’t regret the choice - so far.

I love the silent mode on the whirpool
Microwave. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t get many finger smudges on them. All my appliances are Frigidaire but I may now buy whirlpool for everything I replace.

It's a nice looking unit, good button options.
A couple things that fell short for me:
-The touchpad surface scratches very easily. Within days of installing. Not sure what has changed in material/workmanship, it's extremely fragile. (Photo shows scratched touchpad - you'd think it was from steel wool!). Never happened on any other whirlpool appliance touchpad I've owned!
-The interior is dark (I knew that), but when the unit is on with the light, you can't see your food well through the door. The floor display I looked at before purchasing was not plugged in, so I wasn't able to determine how the interior lighting looked. I assumed lighting would be sufficient - this model had great reviews, I don't recall seeing insufficient lighting, and this could easily be just my personal preference.
For example, if I'm boiling water in a Pyrex measuring cup I want to see when boiling starts. I can't see that in there easily through the door window.

Out of 0 to 10, I will give this thing a 9. Because the light under it wasn't LED, but overall it was a nice piece of machine.

Wanted a white microwave to match the other appliances. Was a little spoiled because our last microwave lasted 13 years. We picked this out and really like it so far. We like the dark interior. No issues so far. Here’s hoping for 13 more years!
