Okay, but not great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a little disappointed with this microwave, specifically the "sensor" feaure, which I thought would be a nice upgrade from my last microwave. Heating/cooking food takes longer and it does not get as hot in the suggested cooking timeframe, & is sometimes still cool. I have not found a way to adjust the sensor to a personal preference. The inside is a little smaller, as well. It does have a nice light that you can use to shine down on the stove top below for extra light. The white unit matches my cabinets perfectly.

Meets our need
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As we primarily use our microwave for reheating food and beverage, almost any microwave will do. I will offer the following for those who may be considering this model. Ours did not come with a user manual and a web search led me to a one-size- fits-all user guide which is not specific to this particular model. Some may find it difficult to take full advantage of all the features without more detailed explanation. If you’re considering this model, I would advise a web search for the user guide; maybe you’ll have better luck than I did. I concur with some other commenters who stated that the light inside the unit is dim and the right arrow icon on the front panel could’ve and should’ve been accompanied by a START label as there seems to be ample space to do so. With regard to the Open/Close Door message that some have mentioned, I believe it could actually be a safeguard to prevent the user from starting a cook cycle without having anything inside. The way I ‘think’ it works is if you put something inside and start the cook cycle immediately, you won’t get the message but if you wait too long before starting, it ‘times out’ and you’ll need to open and close the door again. Our only experience with sensor cooking is with Popcorn which leaves about 3-4 dozen un-popped kernels. We prefer to time and listen instead. Our unit was installed with recirculating venting and as was the case with our previous microwave, the recirculating fan is ineffective for the most part. Intake suction is weak as compared to the force of exhaust. Wondering if this is just typical of a recirculating vent installation. I do find the that the finish on the inside makes for much easier clean up compared to our last unit.

Nice Enough
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This microwave is loaded with great features and looks sharp! My only problem was with installation. The templates aren't exactly accurate. I ended up using the measurements given in the instructions and tossed the templates. Also, the nuts on top of the microwave for the top bolts pop out too easy. Had to take the 1st microwave back out, return it to store, wait another week for replacement to arrive, carry up upstairs and sure enough... the replacement microwave did the same thing while trying to thread the bolt in. The clips that hold the nut need to be stronger.

It will do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The light isn't centered over the range - doesn't light the front burners much. The timer sound is quiet - we need to be in the same room to hear it. The grey interior is too dark. Window is dark - can't see what's going on while heating.

Great buy if you have a handyman.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the “open box” without “opening” to examine in store. It was a great buy. However, when I got it home, the bottom was bent badly. If not for my very handy husband, I would have had to return it. But he fixed the dent and accompanying issues. It is installed and works beautifully. Great bargain as long as you have a handyman!

It works great while it lasts!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm on my second one of these and I will say that the first worked as advertised for the almost three years that I had it when it suddenly stopped warming food. I spent some time with a service tech over the phone who said most likely it was the magnetron or diode that had gone bad and the cost to repair was at least $225 and not worth the cost to repair. That being said, I plopped down the money for another one of these with the expectation that I'll get at most another three years out of it. All these companies love to market about being environmentally friendly, but make products that are junk after three years.

Close, but no Cigar
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit and feel like it is a good compromise regarding size, price and performance. However, before installing it, I read through the manual and noticed that they recommended replacing a carbon filter every 6 months. So I thought to myself, lets see if this filter change would be difficult to accomplish once the beast is mounted. So with the aid of a convenient countertop and full easy access to the filter location area, I discovered that no, it would be impossible to change the filter without removing the entire cover. It seems that when they made the sliding part to give access to the filter, they made it too large to be removed. Now it should be noted that that filter is probably not as much an issue for those venting outside of the home, but for those recirculating air through the filter, it will be a more pressing issue. We returned the unit and purchased the next more expensive unit in the line, which also happened to be a Consumer Reports best unit pick and have been very happy so far. More features, quieter operation and a functioning filter change mechanism made the more expensive unit worthwhile.

Easy do it yourself installation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I installed this in about 15 minutes. The only thing I don't like about it is after several minutes of use it leaves water inside on rooftop.

Great microwave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sleek over the range microwave is a total upgrade to our kitchen, offering even cooking and a rack for layered cooking. The microwave itself deserves a 5, but considering the hassle we went through to receive one that wasn't damaged was a nightmare experience, so I can only give a 3. Most of Best Buy's appliances will arrive damaged in some sort of way, so this was our second attempt at getting a good one.

Heats slow!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks nice and seems like it has nice features like the auto sense but if your using it normally, it will take forever to boil some water. I definitely would not recommend this to a friend or family member!

Multiple cooking buttons
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the multiple cooking options but wished the first 6 number buttons were instant minute buttons like my previous microwave. I think the additional shelf should be little higher so a coffee cup would fit without removing the shelf.

Ok microwave.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This microwave is ok. Shows fingerprints all the time. Never feels Or looks clean after cleaning it. There's a meta rack that you're not supposed to put in there unless you're cooking two things at once. but you wouldn't know that unless you read the instruction manual.

OK, not terrific...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My last microwave was an older Whirlpool, I guess they just don't make things the way they use to. Overall it works, the sensor is not terrific for baking potatoes or reheating anything. The biggest disappointment is the light under the microwave, it barely lights up your stove area when it's on high.
