    This dryer has most of the features that you want except for actual drying. First of all, pressing one button changes all your other choices. It's very important to configure it in the right order. Regarding performance, a typical load will take ages to dry, especially if you enable the "eco" feature, which stops the drying periodically to check something or other. Plan on at least an hour for mid-sized load of dryable clothing, and a good 90 minutes for a lightweight comforter. I'd imagine a heavy quilt or weighted blanket might take in excess of 2 hours. But worse than that is the fact that the moisture sensor and dryness control are nearly worthless for anything but clothing. Last night, I put in a large fleece blanket (that had been spun hard in the washer), dialed up maximum dryness and medium-level heat. The dryer turned off after 5 minutes, with a slightly warm but definitely still-wet blanket inside. Just now, I put in a single hoodie on the delicate cycle with maximum dryness. It, too, turned off after 5 minutes with a very wet hoodie inside. Both of these have required the timed dry setting with my best guess. I've checked the moisture sensor, and there's nothing blocking it. My guess is that the control algorithm in the firmware is just broken. Another annoyance is that this dryer tangles items like sheets and blankets worse than any dryer I've seen. You'll need to open it up and workout the tangles and balled fabric if you want things to dry even on timed dry. I never thought it was hard to mess up a dryer, but Whirlpool have absolutely done it perfectly. Avoid this one.

    The dryer does not dry well when on the lower settings. The high setting will dry adequately but not significantly like I prefer my towels to be dried. My new unit was damaged when installed due to having to crawl over the unit resulting in a concave top of the unit. I was promised compensation for the damage the second time this occurred, however, no compensation has been issued as promised.

    Bad Product/ Bad Compay

    Avoid this dryer. I've it less than month and I've had to schedule TWO repair appointments because the dryer isn't working. Whirpool refuses to replace what is clearly a bad unit until it is deemed unrepairable. So, it's okay to them that a brand new dryer needs to be repaired TWICE. I've had Whirpool products for the last six years. I'll never buy another one.

    dancing noisy washer - metal on metal

    Received replace washer. the first one had metal on metal sounds and vibrated/bounced all over. The second washer received is better but still vibrates.
