Love this WIIU game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this game, it's awesome! I really like the fact that I can play it on my big screen TV when I'm home alone OR just play the game with the portable console when hubby watches TV. I can use it with sound or no sound. When my family comes to visit they love to play my newWIIU, as they do not own one BUT REALLY WANT ONE!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like that I can play it like a normal wii. You can turn your tv into a smart tv. You can use your remote to watch or play games while using the tv to watch something else. You can use it to do yoga! It's awesome! Best thing since ninetindo 64!

Nintendo Wii U Deluxe + 4 Games.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is awesome. I've loved Nintendo ever since I was a child. I took my whole system to a Christmas party and my friends had a blast, they wish they had this console. We had such fun playing against and with each other. Better online play and communication features are definitely a plus. The Wii U GamePad tablet that was included I had to get used to because I came from standard controllers, but it's still an enjoyable experience. One of the downsides about this is that there is no Ethernet port on the Wii U. Online play will still vary, I found that out very quickly with Super Smash Bros. Wii U, I have barely been able to win a single match because of a lag somewhere around 0.3 seconds, not sure if having an Ethernet-USB adapter will solve this because the lag is always consistent. I very much hope Nintendo is considering building their next console with an Ethernet port and perhaps a better, more reliable wireless card as they're in the midst of putting together next-generation stuff right now. Another downside is that I always hear talk about Nintendo's consoles not being powerful enough to support graphically-demanding games that they could be having developed for their console. I can't help to agree, I'd love to see Nintendo step it up next time with at least a strong quad-core CPU, a higher-tier GPU, and more RAM so that games can have breathing room for dedicated RAM usage. I'm waiting for the day where another RPG game for one game series or perhaps a cross-over for a few of Nintendo's game series' utilizes all these at high graphic detail. One of the biggest improvements that Nintendo made to this system is the HDMI port along with surround sound. High-definition Nintendo games (60fps at that!) is one thing I've been badly wanting for a long time. I still have yet to utilize the surround sound, but it will be cranked up on high volume when I do. Another thing is online features, I'd like to see more features and better quality features if Nintendo plans on doing things like DLC. Promotions, contests within games, online game challanges and giveaways would be a few examples. The last thing I want to leave on is that the fact that I got 4 games with this bundle instead of just 2 is amazing. Great for the whole family and friends. Money well-spent.

A fun upgraded experience for Nintendo fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you love the prior Nintendo staples, you will love the new editions Nintendo has brought to the HD world. The hardware feels right, the stylus and gamepad make for a nice experience while some games trying to incorporate both the gamepad and TV display are a bit gimmicky on that front. The stand-alone feature of the gamepad I enjoy for using the apps but otherwise promotes a disengagement that I don’t care for. The battery life for the gamepad is a bit weak. Put it back on the charger each night. Trying to figure out how many players with which configuration of controllers can play just got more difficult, but once you start playing you will be blown away by the graphics and nostalgic gameplay. I’ve only played the 3D world and Nintendo Land a little, but they both offer light-hearted fun for the family. I have been so impressed at the quality of production with the other games we bought (Mario Kart 8 and the new Mario Bros). The level of detail here and connection to Nintendo’s history is fantastic. Well done. I can’t speak to the online experience because I haven’t engaged in it yet; there seem to be adequate settings to keep those interactions at a level you feel comfortable with. All in all, a very fun console for a young family like ours.

Great Family System...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Wii U scores over all other systems in my mind because I love playing games with my wife and little boy and Nintendo is well known for its family friendly content, whereas other systems tend to concentrate on more "mature" (and I use that term sarcastically) gaming. My 4 year son and I enjoy playing Mario games, Disney Infinity and Nintendo Land, the latter of which came with the system and provides a stunning variety of fun little games the whole family can play. He really enjoys being able to win against mommy and daddy in Luigi Ghost Mansion and Mario Chase. Perhaps the coolest feature of the Wii U is the gamepad. It not only allows for really cool 'fog of war' elements to be added in games (the ghost player in LGM, for example, can see the whole map on the gamepad screen but is invisible most of the time on the main TV screen used by the other players) but it also allows my boy to play his favorite games on the pad while we watch something else on TV. And because it is wireless, he can even take it from room to room, leaving us in peace when we want to watch a movie or just want the TV off. A very good buy and I look forward to him showing his soon-to-be-born baby brother how to play the 'tendo when he gets old enough.

Perfect family gaming console!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very pleased with the Wii U its very nice in appearance, the graphics are great and its a joy to play especially with the gamepad having its own screen and being able to game from different locations within the home. My son loves it and it was a great price compared to other places.

Great console for Nintendo fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a die-hard Nintendo fan, the Wii U is an excellent console. Games look gorgeous and run smoothly, with games like Smash Bros running at 1080p and 60 fps. The Gamepad controller looks big but doesn't feel awkward to hold, and the screen is great for off-TV play when a family member is using the TV for something else. This bundle comes with Super Mario 3D World, which is my favorite non-Galaxy Mario game ever. It also comes with Nintendo Land, which I admit I haven't played once despite having owned the Wii U for about 2-3 months now, but hey, it came with the console, so I can't complain. My only real complaints are that it takes forever to update when you first set it up, and that there are almost no third-party games (Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 are the only notable exclusives at the moment, with Xenoblade Chronicles X on the way), so if you plan on playing games not made by Nintendo I'd recommend a PC, Xbox or PlayStation instead/in addition.

A Total Blast!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been more than pleased with my purchase of the Nintendo - Wii U! It is a blast! The game selections are awesome as well as the built in apps. It truly is a great buy with all it has to offer for such a terrific price! Plus I have the confidence in the product since I bought it from my favorite electronics store, Best Buy. I know then that it will work perfectly as described without any surprises and if I do have problems I have a place to go should that happen. Also love that there is an opportunity to play the original Mario Bro's as well as the new! Going back in time is so kewl!!

Great for all ages!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I heard this system has not lived up to Nintendo's standards in terms of sales. Getting this system from Best Buy on sale was a bargain. I am an adult and have had a blast with Mario World. Also it should be noted that Wii Sports automatically gets downloaded to your Wii U once you connect it to WiFi. The New controller that comes with the Wii U is very convenient. If someone wants to watch something on TV you can play the Wii U from your couch without interrupting. They also have a new game controller that you can buy separately that rivals typical gaming controllers like playstation and Xbox offer. Overall I think this is an amazing deal compared to its competitors. I highly recommend it for children and adults!

The Best of This Generation's Offerings
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the Wii U as a family gift thinking it would be fun for us to relive some of the novel gaming experiences Nintendo always promises (if occasionally falls short of making good on). Since setting it up we barely play anything else. It's easy to forget, in today's overstimulated AAA core gamer industry, how meticulous Nintendo crafts it's hardware and games to deliver a holistic *gaming* experience. Sure, they're not perfect and the case here as of a sort-of "sequel" to the original Wii was terribly marketed at launch, but I do believe Nintendo has emerged from this generation being the least guilty of resting on it's laurels. *Highlights* include Off-TV play (also integrated in some two-player offerings as an alternative to split-screen), clever MiiVerse integration in many of its games, and free online. Amiibo support is also quite clever in most of its supported games. Additionally (and regardless of one's opinion on the matter), it also is still the only way to enjoy any of the iconic first-party titles that have endured decades of gaming history. *Negatives* that leap to mind are short battery life on the Gamepad controller, and the myriad ways to gouge your wallet on peripherals. If you can divorce yourself from bandwagoning and the idea that Nintendo is only interested in gimmicky family "shovelware," there are some tremendous original and core gaming opportunities that should not go tragically unnoticed. Buy it.

Great system and game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the WiiU for my kids (6 and 4 years old) at Christmas. I was hoping they would like Mario 3D World as it's up to 4 players and you can play as Peach and Rosalina. I try to support games with female characters as it's really frustrating for my daughter to have to play games where there's only boys. The whole family had great fun playing together and I would highly recommend the WiiU for parents. We also had a lot of fun playing Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8 as a family.

Great gaming console for entire family!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this game console with my 5 year old son in mind, but in reality the entire family has been enjoying it. The game it comes with is great because up to 4 people can play at once, which makes it great so the kids don't fight, and all while including us in the fun as well. The main remote pad is great. I love the fact that it can be used independently of the TV so the kids can play a game or watch Netflix while we are using the tv for other things.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not pass this system up got a great deal on it. I own a 3DS and really enjoyed the Mario Land so I had a big interest in the Mario 3D world but was really disappointed it's just not the same in 2d only half as fun but keep in mind i have not tried the multi player also the levels are better thought out on the 3ds game. The other game that came with it is Nintendo Land I must say I found myself enjoying this game on this system, its made for it and it works well with the gamepad very fun. I've always been a hard core gamer and never bought a wii so one more reason to buy this system and I do find myself playing more on the Wii side of the WiiU cause there are plenty of good games to play i'm finding out I must say I'm kinda surprised really. As far as the WiiU it's self it's good hardware I mean the graphics have a very polished look, nice as far as the cartoony Nintendo games go and everything runs great in 1080p never better and in my opion is all the horse power Nintendo needs this Gen but when you throw in the 3rd party games it is lacking compared to the PS4 and XBOXOne also third party's are very few for the WiiU and no hope in site. I'll talk a little about the game pad it's a mixed bag of nuts for sure. Pretty much it's like have two systems going at once a very weird feeling at best I mean most wiiU games you have to play with it or you just cant play the games fully even 3D Mario world at one point you have to use it to do certain things and all the time its glaring in your face while playing not Ideal for me I find it detracting. the battery only last for 4-5 hours at best I even turned down the brightness hoping it would help not much ;( The game pad gets a very nice picture I must say almost as good as my Sony tv funny enough. There is a separate AC adapter for the Gamepad which is good. The Gamepad controls very well and can even use the old wii motion controller on the little screen pretty cool, but honestly this system feels like a OCD persons dream going back n forth from the little screen and big screen of my tv just seems like too much over kill at times and I just don't like being forced into doing so lol. As far as the range with the Gamepad here again i'm disappointed from my living room to my bedroom 15 feet it cuts off, not as cool as it should be. Honestly if I had to choose Nintendo systems right now the 3DS is no1 the wii is no2 and the WiiU is no3 with that said keep in mind the Wii is playable on the WiiU so worth a buy in my option if you don't have a Wii. that's about all I can say about that.. Nintendo makes very good games and that's what really makes this system a second system of choice under a xboxone or ps4 as of now can't go wrong with any system you buy but in the next year or two this wiiU will be pretty dead Nintendo is already talking about the NX for a possible 2017 release. Final thoughts: So I have to ask myself do I like this system= yes,is the Gamepad a gimmick= yes,is there all kinds of classic retro games i can buy and play on it=yes,am I happy I bought it= "not sure" it distracts me from enjoying my Awesome 3DS..LOL

Great family fun!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Me and my husband bought this because I love Mario Cart and he is great at Mario Cart and shows me all kinds of neat tricks! The game pad is so easy to use and is surprisingly comfortable to hold. Wish you could buy a second game pad to use with it! We're always trading off who uses it because it's so nice. The games are fun and family friendly so we don't have to say no to games when my niece and nephew join us.

Split screen multiplayer lives on
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because my girlfriend won't play Xbox games with me. This thing is worse than a can of Pringles. We simply couldn't stop; the best/worst part is there is so much replay-ability in every game. I have never owned a Nintendo anything, but was pleasantly surprised that after the credits rolled on Mario 3d world, there were EVEN MORE worlds. I now own Mario Kart 8, Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, and Super Smash Bros as well. Whenever you have multiple people over, the phrase "one more round/race" always seems to pop up from the loser who thinks he can do better. The best part is it never gets old, no matter how many times you race a course or KO someone in smash; you want to do it again right away to see what happens the next time around. Another thing that's nice is you can pick it up for five minutes or five hours and enjoy the experience. A single cup of Kart or a Smash round only takes 5-10 minutes from boot up to shut down, or you can sit down to sail around on an adventure all weekend long. Far and away the best coop experience I've had with gaming. Really can be played "just for fun" and nothing more. When you work as a team, everyone wins. This is a super huge plus when you have a girlfriend/family member/friend who is just a casual gamer that doesn't want to get absolutely rekt every time we play (hence her not liking Xbox). Now that she enjoys playing the games, she is improving and getting way better. The only downside is I waited so long to get one.

Excellent System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my Nintendo Wii U while Best Buy was running their Black Friday special. I am extremely satisfied with the system and I feel that it is definitely a great way to spend some time with your young ones. We received four games with the system - Super Mario World Wii U, Super Smash Bros Wii U, Nintendo Land, and Donkey Kong. Would highly recommend this system to parents of young children.

System is a lot of fun for all ages
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently upgraded from the wii to the WiiU bc our Wii stopped being able to read discs and Nintendo wanted too much money for us to mail it in and have it looked at. After getting the Wii U it was very easy to transfer our games and info over but was very time consuming. So far we have had no issues with the Wii U and it has already provided a lot of fun for parents, kids, grandparents! It is fun being able to play games with the kids that don't require complicated controls. The Wii also makes us adults feel like kids again by being able to play some of the old nintendo games. I wish they would continue to add more of these games.

Amazing console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who grew up on older Nintendo consoles and has since migrated to basically nothing but PC games, the Wii U is a wonderful change for Nintendo. After the Wii I had lost faith in Nintendo since the motion controls were not nearly as good as I had imagined they would be. The Wii U is more like the GameCube than the Wii in that the games don't require you to flail around like an idiot. From Nintendo's development teams the Wii U has produced some of the most beautiful visuals I have seen in video games (from consoles at least). The WIi U's Gamepad may look clunky and obnoxious at first but it really is a great controller. Think of the Wii U as a big DS. The TV is the top screen and the Gamepad is the bottom screen. The only difference is you don't need the top screen to play. At least with the games I have for the system, you can play the games completely without needing a TV. I actually had it set up next to my computer for a while and would play a match of Smash Brothers at my desk while waiting for my next game of Dota to start. If you are going to spend any money on a new console (PS4, XOne, Wii U) make it the Wii U. The only way they could improve upon the Wii U is if it used Blurays and I could watch my Bluray collection on it and completely get rid of my PS4 (the Bluray player).

Very fun for couples
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Are you looking for a gaming system that actually allows you to play video games other than Call of Duty with your significant other? Then look no further. The Wii-U is fantastic for couples who want to play video games together--games that everyone will enjoy. Who doesn't love Mario Kart? Mario Party? Smash Bros? Just buy this. You won't regret it.
