I don’t understand after watching this, the negative reviews were. I really enjoyed it, and was better than I thought it would be. Fantastic picture quality! Looks awesome in 4K. The SteelBook is absolutely stunning.

It's an Excellent Origin Story of Dark Phoenix! Not the Best of the X-Men Franchise, but, still very good! Definitely worth buying!

It was all right it was the weakest movie

This movie kind of fell flat on it's face it was alright seeing the characters come back I love that part but without the same director the movie just didn't feel the same didn't even have the X-men theme music in it at all which I always look forward to and the Quicksilver slow motion scene was cut very short a lot of what made the previous movies great was taken out of this one.

The steelbook art is beautiful inside and out. The Blu-ray quality is also excellent. I wish there was some more special features, the making of doc is just okay and most of th deleted scenes are longer versions of scenes that are in the movie.

Despite bad reviews...... I take the comic films on an individual basis and keep in mind all the factors with company mergers etc...... can't wait for the MCU version.

    Dented

Just unwrapped Christmas gift for the family - a dented steelbook. It’s sold out. Return period also expired, due to October purchase. Not easy to spot the dent until shrink-wrap removed, but it’s in front, above where you’d open it. Since it’s in a prominent area of solid color, it’s easy to see. Would have had to inspect it by feel to detect. As an otherwise experienced steelbook buyer, this got by me. It was available after the first batch sold out, maybe someone detected or dented it and returned it.

    Final movie of the saga

I gave it four stars because it is the last of the X-Men films even though they completely change the story while in near finished production. I consider age of apocalypse what is the final film but I guess this could be considered a tease - It still came out OK. It’s a shame that they had to change it((DISNEY))) And ruin what the movie was supposed to be with a part two but Disney is Disney and Disney will ruin things and dreams

It's a good movie, it just gets a little confusing with all the different Xmen timelines. But if you haven't watched one of the others recently and you're looking for a good escape movies, this can be for you.

Watchable film, not bad, great steelbook

It’s actually over exaggerated the bad reviews the film has received, for me is a tie with Captain Marvel but since it’s a Disney/Marvel film it has to get good reviews, don’t trust Rotten Tomatoes 50/50 at the time, for me it seem audience had made their mind the movie was going to bomb, and would have liked to see how the original vision would have been with the Phoenix Saga being 2-3 movies planned. For me was a better film and how The Last Stand should have been handled in the first place and at least better than Apocalypse, and I liked this approach, but not as swan song for the franchise and would have liked to see Disney at least for respect being the series that highlighted the foundation of the superhero genre, to finished this series properly. Film really had its issues, perhaps with editing because I noted like three scenes with pashing problems. I liked the costumes the intention to be more realistic and modern like the film Logan without use of specific colored superhero costumes like the MCU films. Liked the special effects but noted some sound effect issues, and the score by Zimmers is one of the best parts of the film, one of his best, the tracks called Reckless, Insertion and Coda, the best in the Fox X-Men films, and for me one of the best in superhero films, Marvel should hire him for "Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness". Many blame on the director/writer Kinberg but for me, as a first time director, he did what he could do with the project with many inside issues between both Fox Studios and Disney, and good thing is one of the creator of the Phoenix Saga, Chris Claremont, praised the film given the focus, also he has a cameo in the film. The cast did a great job with what they were given, more or less McAvoy was given a different direction I as Professor X, and Fassbender like always awesome as Magneto, Lawrence portrayed a maternal role to the young mutants, Hoult an improvement and a more personal portrayal for Beast and wonder why there is constant criticism for Sophie Turner that for me did a good job and I liked her as Jean Grey. Sadly we aren’t give too much of Chastain did committed herself by to the material she was given for her character that is based in 3 characters of the Phoenix saga. Sherydan, Shipp and Smith-McPhee were great with what they delivered, but sadly for Evans, he is great, compared to the previous two films he isn’t given too much to deliver in this film. Perhaps many didn’t liked, and agree some of the reasons, the first act and final act are the ones with most action, the rest is more like a family drama or more like a personal mission for the characters, it reminded me to those familiar, with Netflix's Umbrella Academy which I love. I always like stories were by some twist one of the main heroes turn to the dark side and have internal battles. Let’s just wait for "New Mutants", probably the final Fox X-Men film or, according sources, the first X-Men film in the MCU, and not connected to the Fox X-Men series. Like the steelbook, but agree that the exterior art was printed in low resolution, wonder why it wasn’t properly handled, but it seems it wasn’t given proper attention because the reputation of the film, still the interior art is decent.

The last X-Men dark Phoenix themed movie was such a success let's do it again.... Uh, no. As with all X-Men movies, the cinematology was great. But, I was left wondering if this story really needed to be told at all. Jean Grey being possessed by a cosmic sun eater that super charges her powers was a great start. But, miring the movie in the age-old petty struggle between Xaviers and Magento's ideology was, again, a story that does not need to be told again and again and again. If you are an X-Men fan then you will check this out. If not, then you can safely assume you are missing nothing by giving this movie a bye.

Not as bad as everyone says

This was a movie that everyone seemed to have an opinion on before even watching it and unfortunately learn to abysmal box office numbers. Well I don’t think it’s the strongest installment in the X-Men franchise but it certainly doesn’t deserve all of the hate that it’s gotten. I would say that it is definitely an improvement over X-Men the last stand and seeing it in crystal clear 4K with the improved Dolby Atmos sound definitely makes it a worthy home-video companion. The space scenes and special effects scenes certainly benefit the most from this transfer and the film also comes packed with over two hours and special features, includes a director’s commentary, and a free digital redemption code. If you’re a fan of the of the franchise And want to have a final film in the Fox Studios saga this is definitely worth picking up.

This was an enjoyable movie. It was fast paced and had a lot of action. It was a pleasure to see the X-Men back in a movie. It had a good story line. I did not see it on the big screen, but it looked great in 4k. I hope this is not the last of the X-Men movies.

It’s actually not that bad of a movie. Especially compared to the train wreck of the second Antman movie. There was just so many opportunities they could’ve taken advantage of with X-Men bad guys they just blew it. Regardless give it a chance and just have fun with it.

This film is visually stunning and the sound quality is superb, this may not have been the Jean Grey story we were hoping for but it’s a decent send off to those who enjoyed Fox’s younger X-Men cast
