I bought this reciever upon while looking for an amp/reciever to use with an amazon echo. The only requirement I had was it had to automatically power when a signal from a source (the echo) was detected. Although this reciever will power off when no signal is detected after a period of time it will not power on when a signal is detected. Returned and hen with a russound amp.

Sound quality exists only at low volume . 200watt is a huge overstatement ! At 100% volume . Which it will do. Sound quality is poor. Even approaching this. Do not recommend . For premium sound quality you are going to pay much more. I did . I am completely satisfied with it.

I bought this receiver for one reason and it was the Bluetooth connect feature. Read the reviews of how great it was people claiming they could connect to it any where in there house. This was not the case for me only worked if i was in the same room as the receiver. For this reason only i returned it.

Sounds good but it randomly (very occasionally) just shuts off.

Great tuner but one spring clip broke already. Tuner sensitivity is exceptional but sounds a little lean.

I have to turn the volume up to 25 just to hear anything at all

We had it for a few weeks, however my husband wanted more power.

Bought an opened box Yamaha receiver. Should not have done that. The receiver turns off immediately after turning it on. Now I have to drive to a Best Buy to get it fixed. The amount of money for gas to get there will make up the difference between this one and a new one.

Can not use Bluetooth function without a remote. No Remote Control included.

Forget this Yamaha product .... my unit is in permanent standby mode .... unit will sleep (shut off) because the standby mode can't be turned off. Major design flaw, Yamaha is just dumping this product with a low price .... there's no way to circumvent this problem.

No HDMI hook up. Can't use to play my TV since the TV doesn't have bluetooth option.

The unit quit working less than 30 days after we hooked it up. We heard a loud pop and that was it. Best Buy corporate was not on que with the stores, as I was told to return it (with an appt time) and it would be fixed/replaced at the store, and when I got to the store, they turned me away. Very bad Cust service

Bluetooth stopped working after using during the daytime only and turning off in night

I bought this receiver because i have always thought Yamaha made great products. The price was also a deciding factor. This is the second one that I bought because the first one popped when I hit the power button, sparks came out of the vents on top and smoke filled the room... The first one failed after about 4 months with very limited use but I thought it was just a bad receiver. Well, this one did the same exact thing the 3rd time i turned it on. These receivers are complete junk and very dangerous. DO NOT BUY YAMAHA!!!

Don't bother. At this price don't expect anything as far as sound quality. Purchased as Open Box. Waste of time. Returned and upgraded to much better receiver.

Awesome stereo receiver, works great playing music from iPad. It is bluetooth compatible.

The Bluetooth function is great, really enjoy the ease how the function works.

Tech came on July 6 did not have enough product to finish job I assumed they would return to finish job when they were a no show I called. They informed me it was my responsibility to call and make appointment my appointment is July 27 for a project that started june 9 and on July 27 the project will only half done. I understand the material delay why would you start with out material in hand

Do not buy! I repeat do not buy! The other reviews are correct this unit will fail you very quickly. My unit did not even last 3 months. It died within 2 months and 15 days. It is made out of cheap parts that appear to burn up very quickly. I didn't have geek squad protection so I am having to send it back to yamaha for repair and shipping to them I have to pay for. Go with the Sony Bluetooth. It appears to be made of better components.
