I purchased this about a week ago. It sounds great. I use it for my CD player and the FM radio. I would have given it 5 stars but I have a slight problem with it. I usually listen to FM when falling asleep. However, after 9 hours, the unit powers down. I have no idea why. There's nothing in the manual about it. There is a sleep timer (mine is set to off) that goes as high as 120 minutes.
Great unit especially because of Bluetooth works w

I just bought this unit yesterday. It sounds great, the build quality is nice also. What surprised me, is the Best Buy associates knew very little about this device. I asked whether I could run a subwoofer off of it and I got a lot of detail about why I could not do so. That was all wrong! It runs great, I take it out of channel a to the Bose acoustic mass and then run the satellite units off that subwoofer. It is a passive subwoofer the sound is spectacular. Sure, the satellite speakers are a little bit tiny and lack mid range. However I could also have a run B channel into a powered sub and again there was massive debate with the Best Buy associate who kept saying it would not work. His reasoning was unclear and faulty in my opinion. I have done this with an old receiver also and they work great. I highly recommend this unit.

Love the bluetooth capability. Disappointed equalizer could not be hooked up after seeing other reviews that it can be. Not a bad thing since the unit sounds good through my Polk speakers.

Great little receiver especially for the price. I am an analog stereo two channel music fan and I paired this with a Rega P3 turntable and Polk Audio speakers. I recommend.

This receiver is great. It can really get loud and clear. I listen to a lot of opera at home and it gets so loud and clear that the high note scare my cat. If you want a 2 channel stereo amp that can do 150w/channel max at 6 Ohms get it. You will be happy

Great receiver for the money. Im going to need more power to run my rtr 15 eviction series speakers. I have my system bi-wired and the sound is awesome, i also added the onkyo 6 disk cd player great combination! I am running both a&b channels at the same time on the eviction series but need a bit more power, but i expected it to be just shy on power.

I was able to ascertain what amplifier I needed from the description but more technical information would have helpful. It was time to replace the Marantz am/fm amplifier/receiver I purchased in 1972.
I was surprised by the low price for the very capable Yamaha. It was easy to set up. I am happy.

This Receiver is an absolutely outstanding piece of stereo equipment! Do not let the price distract you from the performance of this excellent Yamaha receiver. Excellent features, clear crisp, sound, a wonderful traditional 2 channel item. I'd buy this again in an instant!

Perfect for a simple audio only reciver. It calls for 8 ohm loads max but im a bit lower than that and sure it gets a but hotter but if you add a push pull fan setup as in a small window fan with 2 sides going on full yiu will be hust fine. I can run it full blast for hours with no problems. Going full out it takes 290 watts at the wall which is less than the 400+ i would of expected being 200w x2 rms but here we are...companies with their bs claims.
