Did alot of online homework before purchasing the Yuneec Typhoon G. It is very user friendly and easy to fly, great response, has better flying angles than competitors and the follow me/watch me features and very easy to access. Attached my gropro 3+ and love how the videos come out. Gimbal works great, integrated screen in control is awesome with very minimum lag. I have been getting about 19 minutes flying time in heavy winds and could probably fly a bit more but don't want to risk it. I have flown a couple of other brands and this has been the most user friendly. Overall, very happy with my purchase. This is my third drone quadcopter. This is by far the easiest to fly. Uses GPS and will hold a position in moderate wind with no problems. Controller is superb! I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I purchased this drone about a month ago and it has been awesome. I use it with a go pro hero 4 silver and the video quality is amazing. The drone does a great job of keeping a very steady picture with the gimbal mechanism. I have flown this about 2100 feet away with still recieving live video feed to controller but it does seem to go further when out of the neighborhood where there are lots of wifi signals. All features such as the home switch to make it come back work great. I know the box says 25 min of flight time but it seems to be about 16-18 min of straight flying with video. I have also flown this in pretty windy conditions with little issues. When using this model with the go pro you do need to start video before flight since the capture buttons on remote do not work with go pro but you can always edit film later. All in all if you have a go pro and want a great drone then buy this one. Smooth controls, long flights, and amazing performance. Great product.

If you have a GoPro Hero 3 or better, the Yuneec Typhoon G is the perfect tool to get aerial shots, follow me video, and is overall easy and fun to fly. I would sum up this purchase in one word, COMPLETE. This package comes with a ST+10 Ground Station (with a 5.5 screen), CGO SteadyGrip, and GB2O3 3-axis gimbal. Using the SteadyGrip+Gimbal with your GoPro is responsive, intuitive, and you will have no need to purchase anything else. This kit will get you set up for GoPro ground video and air video, all in the same box. I would recommend this product for Beginners. It is a great entry level quad copter with everything you need for your GoPro Hero 3/4.

I fly it with go pro 4 silver, very easy and awesome video and photo. I paid only $699 at best buy store. If you have a gopro hero 4, buy this model.

I researched and reviewed both the DJI Phantom 3 series and the Yuneec Typhoon series before this purchase. Since I already had a GoPro Silver I thought the Typhoon G would put it to good use. It did put it to good use as the approx 8 videos were spectacular. The gimbal kept the GoPro very steady even in several windy 13mph flights. As to the actual aircraft it handled very well. All controls responded as they should. Another factor in the reason for this purchase is I liked the way it looked. It is nice and big and with its dark color I could not miss it in the sky. The large lights underneath each motor was a plus for me as the front 2 lights are WHITE and the tail lights are RED just like a car. The problem I ran into twice was the live video feed from the aircraft to the remote screen cut out after approx 30ft. Once the aircraft was up in the air I would see the screen on the remote go into the buffering mode saying attempting to connect to camera. When its buffering I could not see the important data on the screen such as my altitude or battery remaining. This was very frustrating. I called Yuneec CS as I heard so many good things about them. Well I got the simple trouble shooting and then the dreaded words.... "you will need to box it up and mail it in for repair". Mail it back after only a few flights....are you kidding me....No way. So.... I boxed the Typhoon G up and returned it to BestBuy. No problems with the return. I picked up another Typhoon G and was ready for smooth sailing. I had to wait a week to fly the second one as it was very windy. This past Easter weekend I sent it up for 5 flights. All with no live video download to my remote. So disappointed. However the flights are nice and smooth and the G is very quiet. But this thing is supposed to do something that it is not doing so back to BestBuy this morning and another return. They asked if I wanted another. I said I cant do this again as I have checked the Yuneec Forum and this is a known issue with the MK58 video download link on the Typhoon G. Thanks BestBuy for the great customer service I believe I will get myself a Phantom 3.

This quad is easy to fly right out of the box. Shoots great video and has a very stable camera mount for gro pro. A++++

My biggest issue is the lack of instructions that come with the drone. It gets glitchy from time to time. Flys really well. They could have changed the color of the gimbal lock. Gimbal has 2 ports on it. And theyre not labeled what they are. The plugs for the gimbal arent the easiest to plug in. The battery charger blows fuses and when you plug in batteries to charge it arks.

I purchased 5 yuneec drones and 1 of them had problems missing the mk58 attachment for the audio. I brought it back to best buy and they replaced it. upon checking it upfront from the counter, a couple of things where already missing. There were no lace for the controller and drone manual in the box. I told the associate that its okay as long as I have the other parts to make it fly. When i got to my car, I felt like I had to check all the parts again. True enough, there was one missing part. It was the small black cord that connects the drone to the gimbal. I went back to best buy and told them one part was missing again and if they could just get it from the previous box I just returned. I was so disappointed at this point. They questioned me saying "Its a new box? how can that happen?" i wanted to argue with them and say it wasnt my fault. After I got the small black part, the associate asked me "Is everything okay already? that will be your last time to come back for replacement." First of all, it wasnt my fault that the parts are missing in the drone. :/ I have not yet tested the drone but I've heard good reviews about the yuneec. I hope best buy fixes their boxes and double check whats inside before selling them.

When flying in the manual mode it works great but once you let it fly by its self in the follow me mode it just crashes and breaks blades.

I love flying the Yuneec Typhoon G quadcopter. It is easy to learn and enjoy. Due to certain issues I probably should have knocked off more than one star, but I am enjoying the experience too much. Some of the negatives are the plastic construction and the video streaming screen being on the bottom of the controller, which makes it difficult to see what you are recording from your (not included) GoPro camera (I purchased this model because I felt I would get additional usage out of a GoPro camera than the camera provided by Yuneec in other models). This brings up the biggest issue: although there are Video & Photo buttons on the controller, they are disabled. You cannot control any of the functions of the GoPro camera from the controller - you must start video recording on the GoPro from the ground before you take off and cannot turn video on/off or take photos from the controller. It is my understanding that GoPro will not release their control software to Yuneec; here's hoping that changes and Yuneec can enable these controls in a firmware update. If that happens I will revise my rating to five stars, all other shortcomings are minor and I really enjoy flying the Typhoon G.

This copter is easy to handle. It goes nicely with my HERO camera.

So far have only flown once due to weather but it was awesome handles well and is quite compared to other quad copters I have seen impressed with build quality and looking forward to flying a lot this upcoming summer.

Now that the price of professional drones has come down, I couldn't wait any longer to purchase. The Phantom has always been the commercial leader in the industry, but I did some looking in to the Yuneec drones and was pretty excited. The quality and craftsmanship appeared to be there. I was a fan of the color scheme, being dark rather than white like the DJI. So I got one! I had several short test flights and the control system is very easy to learn. Very stable flight excellent features like the follow and home modes. The only downfall is there aren't many parts available for the drones, and they must be sent in for repair, as is my issue (first time flyer, don't hate haha). Tons of fun to fly, and even better to get some new vantage points on your next photo shoot.

easy to assemble out of the box, like the easy mode. great for the first time flyer. good battery life get about 20 - 25 min peer charge.

This is a really good quad copter for an beginner to intermediate hobbyist. It's very large and cumbersome until you get it off the ground where it becomes as graceful as a hippo in water. Wish flight time was a little longer but a spare battery will help with that. Camera takes awesome video with resolution that is crisp and breath taking. Overall a very good start for anyone interested in flying.

An excellent product that we will use to moniter fence lines, livestock and wildlife on our ranch.

Really fun to fly! It's a little slow but really easy to control. Does really good in the wind.

Many argue DJI is the way to go, but I already had a GoPro so I bought this and was not disappointed at all. Thumbs way up.
