Q: Has anyone had problems with burning up cable?

A: I'm sorry to hear that the cable failed that way. I would like you to call us at 1-800-620-2790 so we can investigate what happened to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Q: Iphone 6

A: This is just a normal Lightning cable so i would assume it would work for the Iphone 6. a lightning cable is a lightning cable no matter what apple product you use it for. i phone 5/5c/5s/6/6plus or any of the ipad's that use lightning cables.

Q: Which cable do I need to connect my JVC HD action camera (GC-XA1) to an iPad 2?

A: If you can export your videos to a desktop computer, download a program called Handbrake (free, open source program) and convert them to .mp4 or .m4v and then just sync them with your iPad via iTunes. I have a similar problem with my Sony camcorder and this is how I have to do it. It works pretty good plus Handbrake gives you control over the quality of your videos depending on the size or type of device you're using.
