Best Speaker for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface by saying I got this speaker for 60$ on special, and it is BEYOND worth what I paid for it, however I do not think it is worth $150 either and here is why: Although the bass is excellent and it is perfect for outdoors because it is so loud, the treble is almost nonexistent. It's a shame because the design is so well manufactured, all they had to do was add a tweeter and it would have been perfect, but either way it handles dialogue and bass excellently, and it adds a nice tonal quality to the music you listen to, but overall it is not a Hi-Fi solution if you are looking for something that has an accurate response, this is not the speaker for you. But it IS portable (although it is heavy, it is sturdy and feels like it can withstand some beatings). It has a really long battery life and it is THE LARGEST RECHARGEABLE BATTERY POWERED SPEAKER IN THE MARKET.

Best bang for the buck!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned the Bose mini, which cost about 200 clams. Not what I expected from this speaker. (sounded great in the store.) Looked at the reviews of the Rocketfish and decided to give it a try. You can only find it in the home stereo section. Being weather proof, I knew it would be great for backyard bbq's. I was not disappointed as the sound was just so good! The Bass Booster was also a added bonus! Simple to pair and I was listening to music even as I was charging the speaker. Would definitely recommend. Just remember to go to the home stereo section, and I had to show the salesperson the speaker on the web because he didn't think it was in this department. For 180 w/ warranty, can't beat this deal!

second on i've bought!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.heavy and durable, i've been using this speaker for 6 months or greater mainly with pandora and the sound quality is excellent, so much so that i bought one for a family member who has been wanting one for christmas. i always keep mine plugged in so i can't speak about battery life but so far this speaker has been exposed to dust, misting rain, heat, humidity, you name it and it still sounds as good as the first day i bought it. christmas day my relative unwrapped hers and it paired immediately with her iPhone right out of the box and we listened to christmas music the rest of the morning. despite it's size, it does have an upper volume limit, which is pretty loud i.m.o. you aren't going to rock a house party but it's excellent for background music and in smaller rooms it does get quite loud. it has a bass enhancer button that works excellently, and a rear bass port that you can use to tune your sound by moving it closer or farther away from the wall. i.m.o., it's the best value out there. bose may sound a little better, just a little, but i got this on sale for 99 bucks so i can live with the minute inferior sound quality with $200 extra bucks in my pocket. you can't go wrong with this one!!

sounds good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds really good. This is my first bluetooth speaker. I'm not sure what kid of range other speakers have but I'm getting fluctuating results, some time when I'm 30' away it still picks up and sometime when I'm15' away i start to lose connection.not sure if its my phone or the speaker. has an aux input and good volume too when compared to other speakers in a higher price range. If sound is important it's distortion free at full volume which was an important factor for me.

Great speaker for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this speaker to use out by the pool. I was really surprised with the quality of sound. It has decent bass so you don't feel like your listening to a tin can. It also has pretty good volume although with some music I feel like you might blow the speaker if your playing it at max volume. My wife and daughters use it everyday for hours and it holds a charge for weeks. We are very happy with its performance. If you are looking for a wireless speaker that will not break the bank this might be for you.

Excellent sound quality for indoor/outdoor speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great sounding bluetooth speaker for a decent price; the set up is a breeze, the bass boost is a plus, the sound volume could deserve to be turned up a little louder, but still is decent. Would desire to be able to link these up to several speakers and a single device at one time, but none-the-less....a great buy for a single speaker to have in a single room, garage or a deck with not a lot of noise going on that could drowned it out in a crowd.

Great speaker and decent sound.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been wanting to purchase this speaker for some time but I did not want to pay the $150.00 price tag. When I found out that Best Buy had this as an open item for 79.99 I had to buy it! I used this in my medium sized yard and the sound fills the space very well. The bluetooth feature is easy and does not lose signal when paired with my phone. This isn't meant to be a huge sound with a heavy base but for get togethers and outdoor entertainment it is more than efficient. I still wouldn't pay $150 for it though.

Great indoor / outdoor Bluetooth speaker!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent value. Used the speaker while I was entertaining. More than loud enough to annoy my neighbors (if I wanted to). Battery lasted longer than I expected and needed. Bass was surprising for me and my guests. Bluetooth range was about 35 feet in my backyard. Fairly large, so it's not something to throw in a backpack, but light and portable enough to carry from room to room or from indoor to outdoor. No regrets.

Q: QuestionCompatible with older Rocketfish speakers/receiversI have two older rocketfish speakers and would like to add another. Will this speaker work using an older receiver? Will the older speakers work with the receiver supplied with this speaker?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, this speaker uses Bluetooth while the other speakers use Rocketboost. They are not compatible.

Q: QuestionAny way to get rid of audio lag?I have a bluetooth transmitter connected to my Roku. When I play Pandora, the music comes out of my home stereo speakers inside and the Rocketfish speaker outside on the patio. However, there is a really bad time lag between the two. Like more than 0.5 seconds. They're only about 12 feet apart. Sounds like two bands playing out of sync with each other. I'm not sure if it's my bluetooth transmitter or the speaker that's responsible for the lag, or if that's just "what you get" with bluetooth. Anybody know?
Asked by Harold.
- A:Answer Not sure, but suspect the BT processing at transmission and reception is causing the delay. Probably no way to eliminate the delay without a hardwire connection. I connect my patio speakers through another receiver (so I can control the volumes separately) via hardwire (Directv receiver source for both through the AV receiver) and haven't noticed any significant delays, but I was able to run wires through my bark to some rock shaped speakers. Otherwise I pair a BT speaker with iPhone or iPad and listen to music on Pandora, Amazon, Apple Match, etc.

Q: QuestionBluetooth Adapter plugged in to TV--would this work with that?Goal is to have the speaker stream the sound from the TV to the outdoors if outside grilling (TV is in view through glass doors). It's for the sports fanatic man for when he's watching the game. Would this work?
Asked by Colleen.
- A:Answer Yes. I have a blue tooth transmitter for my TV and the sound will stream to the speaker. I have a TV on my deck and use the speaker for sound while in my hot tub. The blue tooth transmitter I have has a very minor delay, but it will work just fine!

Q: QuestionHow many watts does this produce?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Wattage isn't a good way to compare speakers anymore because every manufacturer has their own method of measuring wattage and 90% of the time it is inaccurate or it is only that wattage at one specific sound frequency or band. The speaker is very loud but not suitable as a replacement for a PA. Anything that requires a physical connection to a power outlet is going to be louder than this, but this is the loudest battery powered speaker I've found so far.
