Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl star as legendary Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda respectively in this biographical drama set during the 1970s, at the peak of their heated rivalry. Both on the track and off, Hunt (Hemsworth) and Lauda (Bruhl) couldn't have been more different. Yet as much as Englishman Hunt's showy public persona clashed with Lauda's reputation for tightly-controlled perfectionism, both men remained bound together by one undeniable fact -- they were both among the best drivers ever to grace the racetrack. When a horrific crash during the 1976 Grand Prix at the Nürburgring nearly claims Lauda's life, however, a grudging respect begins to develop between the two racers as Hunt realizes just how devoted his greatest adversary is to the sport they both love. Olivia Wilde and Alexandra Maria Lara co-star in a film directed by Academy Award-winner Ron Howard, and penned by Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, Hereafter).~Jason Buchanan
An entertaining movie with two solid performances that only occasionally stalls because of its sometimes heavy-handed treatment of Hunt and Lauda's differences.
I would recommend this to a friend
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Beware : UV digital code is expired December 2017.
Its a great movie at a great price. The only reason I am giving low ratings is because the UV digital copy is expired December 2017 and you can find out by going to Universal code expiration website given on the UV redeem paper inside the movie which is "http://www.nbcucodes.com/". See pic for this. At that point best buy will not return the movie since its opened but only replace with the same movie which again has the expired code. So if you are looking for a UV code don't go for this. Other than that its a great movie.
Let me preface this by saying I'm not a racing fan in the slightest and this movie was still 5/5 stars. It runs laps around other car films like Ford vs. Ferrari and is one of the best films of the last decade.
Rush out to get a copy of Rush! You won't regret it.
