    Synopsis

    Rush
Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl star as legendary Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda respectively in this biographical drama set during the 1970s, at the peak of their heated rivalry. Both on the track and off, Hunt (Hemsworth) and Lauda (Bruhl) couldn't have been more different. Yet as much as Englishman Hunt's showy public persona clashed with Lauda's reputation for tightly-controlled perfectionism, both men remained bound together by one undeniable fact -- they were both among the best drivers ever to grace the racetrack. When a horrific crash during the 1976 Grand Prix at the Nürburgring nearly claims Lauda's life, however, a grudging respect begins to develop between the two racers as Hunt realizes just how devoted his greatest adversary is to the sport they both love. Olivia Wilde and Alexandra Maria Lara co-star in a film directed by Academy Award-winner Ron Howard, and penned by Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, Hereafter). ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

The film should be renamed "Adrenaline Rush".

I remember being so excited for this film when I saw the preview for it before Iron Man 3 or some summer blockbuster last year. My expectations were sky high for Rush...and then it blew those all away. From seeing Chris Hemsworth do some real acting outside of Thor to the portrayal of Niki Lauda to the entrancing story to the high speed car chases, this film has it all. I'm honestly surprised it didn't get any nominations at the Academy Awards, because it would have deserved each and every one of those nominations-- a far superior film to Gravity, in my opinion, and yet it flew under the Academy's radar. Only a truly extraordinary movie can make you feel for all of the characters, even the most insignificant ones, and keep you on the edge of your seat while teetering between laughing and crying in the same breath. Another great thing about this movie is that it looks and sounds absolutely beautiful on Blu-Ray. But don't listen to me: check it out for yourself if you haven't!

Its a great movie at a great price. The only reason I am giving low ratings is because the UV digital copy is expired December 2017 and you can find out by going to Universal code expiration website given on the UV redeem paper inside the movie which is "http://www.nbcucodes.com/". See pic for this. At that point best buy will not return the movie since its opened but only replace with the same movie which again has the expired code. So if you are looking for a UV code don't go for this. Other than that its a great movie.

In the spirit of "Grand Prix" arrives one of Ron Howard's finest films, capturing an exhilarating story of two ambitious race drivers competing each other during the 1976 Formula One Tour. "Thor's" Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brulh of recent "Captain America: Civil War" fame bring great performances to the rivalry unfolded here and the direction and cinematography that brings the film's racing sequences to life boasted by superb picture quality and a immersive soundtrack of engine roars, spews and crashes, bringing adrenaline to the viewing experience. If you're a fan of Ron Howard or racing films, "Rush" is a one of a kind film to behold.

I recently purchased this movie & I DO NOT have any regrets at all... This movie is action packed throughout the entire movie... IF you're a race car fan then you will really enjoy this movie... I would definitely recommend the purchase of this movie at BestBuy to family & friends for sure... The graphics & sound were so much better than in the movies.. The only two other things that can top this is not if I would've brought this movie in 3D Blu Ray for "in your face action" as well as WHEN BestBuy bring back "UPGRADE & SAVE" so that I could've saved some additional money on this purchase...

My dad kept telling me this was a great story when trailers for the movie came out. I went in knowing little to nothing about these two great racers other than they were a couple of the "greats." The actors did a wonderful job with these two characters, showing us a glimpse of their incredible relationship over the years as competitive racing professionals. I love Chris Hemsworth but Daniel Brühl's portrail of Niki Lauda is phenomenal and really had me wanting to research and dig into the real life story a little more after seeing the movie. Its a great movie even for those that are not into racing in my opinion. Recommended!

I've watched and followed many kinds of racing since I was a kid, and I'm a big F1 fan now. I remember this era and the drivers but was not familiar with the real-life rivalry between the two main characters... This movie takes me back to what it was like to watch and worship the cars and the drivers as larger-than-life figures, but this tells the back-stories of two very different men who gambled everything (life, relationships, money) for their love of the sport and their drive to compete! Watch this to get a peek at the glory days of F1. Its great for long-time racing fans and newcomers alike!

"Rush" is a fantastic movie for any car racing enthusiast, especially if you are a fan of Formula 1. Ron Howard's "Rush" captures the excitement and tragedy of Formula 1 in its golden years. It focuses on the tense rivalry between Ferrari's Nikki Lauda and McLaren's James Hunt with a surprising bond between the 2 drivers during the 1976 season. A great supporting cast that bears resemblance to the actual people being portrayed and fantastic cinematography make this film worth watching...better yet, buying. Age appropriate film.

This is an especially involving true story about two gifted formula one race drivers. While the presentation appears to show the tragic events in one racing season, the viewer might mistake what happens to one of the racers who is badly burned as the tragedy, it is a much deeper revelation of how attitude and desire can lead to a champion racer and how it can also drive a very talented driver to lose his way. This is one of the finest movies ever made about the events shaping the careers of these two men.
