A: The Chrome OS is very efficient and functional for many uses, I'm a professional software developer and mostly use a Chromebook when not working. Though you would need to be technically adept to do it, you could install one of the lightweight Linux distributions. You could also pay close to the price of a this Chromebook for a Windows license and end up with a much slower computer. Most Chromebooks are not upgrade-able, To save cost, most components are soldered to the motherboard. You can add disk space with flask memory cards or USB drives, but that's it.

A: Disregard my previous answer. For some reason BB started showing me questions for a different laptop, which is confusing. For your particular model you are asking, it should still run Android Apps including Skype since it is a Chromebook.
