The laptop market has matured to become tailor to
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I have been using this computer for a month. I am wowed by the performance of it, for what I use it for. I am an internet browser and Netflix watcher. Chromebook is perfectly specific for light use… not as much for hard core gaming, but with regards to that, my chromebook is lightning-fast for these uses despite not being as “powerful” as a high-end Windows gamer laptop might be. This was my first chromebook and what it tells me is that the Laptop industry has evolved to become more specific in making specific computers for specific uses, so I’m contrast to the 1990s and 2000s when you just generally had windows or Mac computers of varying memory, processor and hard drive space, TODAY they make different kinds of computers to be used for different purposes. The chromebook is what you want for general purpose internet use and will perform way way way faster than any Windows computer of a similar price. That being said, I feel like the build quality and picture resolution is not going to be what you’d get if you spent $500 or $1000 on a higher end chromebook. However, where even this cheaper chromebook stands out over a cheap windows laptop is that it responds instantly to input. There’s no sluggish behavior where the computer has to “think” and this is true despite only having a “Celeron” processor. There is only one drawback to chromebook. If you forget your password to get into the computer and have to reset it on your google account, you will NOT be getting your files back and it will wipe them. This is for security design, so chromebook might not be the choice for people who use laptops for work like design or business.

Excellent value - no big issues after 3 months use
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed.Very happy with this purchase. For $299 this is excellent value. I use this Chromebook as my main desktop computer, connected to a second monitor & external keyboard, mouse & speakers & it works great. If I have more than, say 8-10 tabs/windows open, the performance starts to slow down a little & there is a lag in switching between windows, so I need to occasionally shut some tabs/windows - but to that point, it is comparable in performance & features to my previous Pixelbook (apart from touchscreen, back-lit keyboard, which were nice but I can live without given the low price of this device).

Samsung Chromebook 4 Plus review: Bare minimum at a light priceThe affordable Samsung Chromebook 4 Plus is one of the cheaper Chromebooks you can get, but is it worth buying? Here's what we think.

Q: QuestionDoes it have windows 10? Is it compatible with Windows 10?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No. This device runs Chrome OS. This is a Linux-based operating system created by Google. It's really a web-based device and you cannot install applications which are windows or Mac based (like the Microsoft Office suite or Adobe Photoshop).

Q: Questiondifference between chromebook and laptop
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Chromebook works strictly with Google Chrome operating system. It has built-in security so no having to purchase a separate security like Norton, etc. For me, the speed of downloads/uploads on Chromebook has been way faster that with other systems. It is still lightweight enough to take with you on the go. Very slim; very fast gigabit wi-fi.

Q: QuestionI'm an old lady. Do I need a security system, such as Norton's LifeLock on my new Samsung Chromebook? If not, what type of security comes with it? Also, do I need earphones to establish sound on my new Zoom feature?
Asked by Judy75.
- A:Answer Chromebooks are not really prone to getting viruses. The most important thing is not enter personal/secure information on websites you do not trust. Norton LifeLock could be used for identity theft protection and damage reimbursement, but it's not really going to protect you from much on your chromebook. A more useful tool would be an ad blocker like "uBlock Origin" which you can add by going to the google chrome web store and searching for "uBlock Origin" and clicking "Add to Chrome" and then clicking "Okay". Your chromebook should have built-in speakers to establish sound. If you would like earphones so that no one else can hear your Zoom conversation, then you can use those instead.
