Q: Will this charge your phone through a phone case?
A: I have an Otterbox, Defender series case, and it does charge through the case
Q: Does it stop charging once phone is fully charged or does it continue to try and charge the phone?
A: Once the battery fully charges, the charger is smart enough to just maintain the 100% charge but it doesn't try to overcharge the battery, so it won't overheat it or kill it or anything like that. I leave it on the charger all night and I wake up in the morning and the battery is 100% and the phone is ready to go!
Q: Will this work with the S9?
A: Yes
Q: Will this charger work with other phone brands, such as LG, or will it only work for Samsung phones?
A: This charger works with any Q chargeable phone. I use it for my Moto all the time.
Q: Will this work on the new S20
A: Yes it will but it takes a long time to charge on my phone. I have an otterbox defender case on my phone and that may be the reason. If my phone says it will take 2 hours to charge this charger will usually take 30 or more minutes longer than that before it's charged. I've gone back to my old wireless charger because I get more accurate charge time from my phone with that charger, not faster but more accurate, if it says 2 hours to complete charge, that's usually the time it takes
Q: does this come with a charging cable or do you have to purchase separately?
A: It comes with a charging cable and charging brick.
A: I have 5 of these chargers and only have the "fan" come on if it gets hot. I have only "caught" the fan on two of my units. Both times the phones were almost dead.
A: Yes it will charge. I have the same case and have no issues at all.
