Q: How do I turn on the light for this microwave.. can't seem to find button or light picture?
A: The counter lights are turned on by the top left button of the control panel. The interior light turns on when the microwave is running, but it may not appear to be on if the microwave door is above the level of your eyes.
Q: Does the exhaust fan slow down when cooking on the stove top?
A: When using the microwave is on, the exhaust fan is limited to level 2. With the microwave off, the fan can go up to level 3 and 4.
Q: What type of vent is this? Is it convertible?
A: I have mine vented out the roof of my house which is ALWAYS the most effective way to vent an over-the-stove microwave. That way, if you burn something on the stove (like frying hamburgers, you can use the microwave exhaust fan to exhaust the odor and smoke out through your roof ventilation system. However, it can be adapted with use of a carbon filter (which must be changed every once-in-awhile) to vent internally through the carbon filter.

A: Yes but the fan/filter, and lights are on the bottom and would be blocked.
