Q: Can you still stack with the pedestal?
A: The stacking kit assembles your dryer on top of your washer, I imagine you could still have a pedestal under the washer but that would me the controls on the dryer out of reach for almost anyone. I don't know the weight factor, but i also think that would be a lot of stress on the pedestal
A: It is not necessary, but we bought them without them and we are now going to purchase them because we found that it will make it easier to reach the clothes toward the back of the washer and dryer. Being 6'1" it makes it pretty hard to bend down to get the clothes without getting down on one knee.
Q: Does the pedestal adjust for un level surface like the washer and dryer do?
A: Yes. There is a youtube available to walk you step by step if yours didnt come with the paper work like mine because bought it from open box display for $90!!! With very mimimal scratches.
