Samsung's Activewash Top Load Washer with 5.2 cu. ft. capacity allows for larger loads so you can spend less time doing laundry. The built-in sink lets you pretreat and presoak your clothes with ease, while Steam Wash uses the power of steam to help remove stains. With Vibration Reduction Technology, wash loads stay balanced and quiet even at high speeds..
A: I'm probably too late to help you make a decision but I hope you didn't buy another Samsung washer. I purchased two Samsung top-load washers in the past 7 years and will never buy another one again. The first one was recalled due to spin cycle issues and the rebate was so pitiful that I had to purchase another Samsung washer to even recoup 30% of my cost. Fast-forward 2 months after the warranty expires and there is rust growing around the bleach dispenser even though I rarely use bleach and am careful about wiping it dry afterwards. Samsung will do nothing to repair or compensate because the warranty has expired. There is even a class-action suit against them for this because so many customers are experiencing the issue (Google it if you have doubt). We are all stuck with these expensive washers with no customer service. Once the rust has expanded, it gets into the wash load and your clothes are covered with it. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance again after being burned twice. Consider yourself warned and get something else. When a company ignores a problem this widespread with their machines, how can you knowingly fall for them again? I only bought a second Samsung because it doubled my rebate amount...I am sure not going to buy a third one after having two machines fail in the span of 7 years due to design flaws.
Q: Is this able to handle a king comforter? Thanks.
A: Yes and the sheets at the same time
Q: Without having an agitator does it cause your clothes to not get as clean?
A: I am very happy with this washing machine. The clothes come out very clean. It does a great job. Had a maytag before this one. Like the Samsung better.
Q: We just bought this machine. It is extremely loud. Sound is coming from washer. Any suggestions?
A: This machine should not be loud at all. In fact, we dont even hear ours running unless we are in the same room (and it is installed on a wooden floor). Perhaps your washer is not leveled properly, that would cause the washer to spin way out of balance. Try to check level by doing the water test. Pour enough water in the bottom so that a full circle of water is visable in the bottom but it has not yet started to come up the sides of the drum. If the bottom agitator is not in the very certer of the water circle, you will need to adjust the feet. I found that this washer CANNOT be leveled by using a bubble level on the outside or top of the machine. When I attempted this, it actually told me to go the exact opposite direction that I needed to go to level it. It wasnt until I did the water test that I finally got it to spin perfectly without rattling.
Q: can the water level be controlled?
A: If you want more water you can use the deep wash, if less than the eco plus, otherwise it goes by the weight of the clothes.
Q: can the wash sink be removed ? Or do you have to lift it up to put wash in
A: You actually have to hit a button to bring it down it's attached to the lid
Q: What is height of lid washer. I am concerned this might not fit under my cabinet Ann
A: The height, with the lid open 90 degrees, is 58.1 inches.
Q: can you tell me if this washer on the recall list
A: No this washer isn't on the list, I had the same concern when I began to look for a replacement washer.
