Awesome picture once calibrated. Sound is not the greatest but that's normal for thin panel tvs. Nothing a sound bar can't fix. It's just such a pleasure watching this tv. 4k content is breathtaking. Can't wait for more 4k content to be available. Looks great above my fireplace.

I got such a great deal and the salesperson was such a big help. Samsung is by far so much better than the other brands I previously looked at. I bought an LG for my son for Christmas last year and this is so much better.

- A:Answer I highly recommend adjusting the settings. Once out of the box it looked OK to us, but I searched online reviews that have calibrated this TV and set ours exactly as those reviews tell you to. BIG difference. I cannot stress that enough. I highly doubt the in store displays are using the out of the box settings.

- A:Answer Ours is atop our fireplace (gas) and we have had no problems with having it there; we kept our last TV there (a Sony LED) for 3+ years without issue as well. I hope this helps.

- A:Answer There's not a recommend viewing distance, although most people will sit back 3x the corner-to-corner measurement. So a TV that has a 60 inch panel x 3 = 180 inches (divided by 12 for feet) = 15 feet. Of course, you can sit closer or further away, depending on your preference. Ideally, you want to sit where you can rest your eyes without having to constantly move them while watching the whole screen. That cuts down on eye fatigue and increases the enjoyment of the movie or TV experience. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
