Q: Do you need a special hookup for the steam function to work.
A: There is a water feed line that has to be attached to the dryer from the washer hose. My salesman also did not include this with my order so I don't have the steam function available either until I go back and buy it.
Q: Can the door swing be changed?
A: Yes it can be reversed and is easy to do.
A: So apparently this newer model actually has a plastic drum I believe the mod2l before had a metal one so not as much wear and tear on it as it would on the newer model, as well as the newer model came with a drying rack and older one didn't but best buy was amazing and hooked us up with one due to our situation we ended up in. The drying rack is really not necessary....if I had to recommend, I would suggest the previous model! More durable drum wise.
Q: Does this dryer light up blue inside while clothes are drying?
A: No. There's a white light that comes on when you open the door, the interior has no lights when drying.
Q: Some sites list this dryer as ventless. Is that an option or must it be vented to the outside?
A: must be vented outside - you do have an option of side venting rather than from the back

A: I don't have idea, but the bed loading is very similar about it another home dry and washed, but definitely the cycle is too much better ...
