Samsung - Galaxy Book3 Ultra 16" 3K AMOLED Laptop - Intel 13th Gen Evo Core i7-13700H - 16GB - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 - 1TB SSD - Graphite

I had it for almos ta month now and thought I would share my thoughts using it. First and most negative. -The fan noise has somewhat high pitch notes. Having held ASUS Zephurys g14, I gotta say, on hoghest speed ASUS fans are nearly silent with a pleasant sound of wind and no high pitch noise. And it is not really bad, I owned Lenovo Yoga for 4 years and its small fan has a variation of noise that some would find annoying. If you are getting this laptop, use it in a quiet room for few hours, performance mode and quiet as well. Then you can decide if this noise is something that is acceptable for you. Next. -It activates NVIDIA dedicated GPU when some apps, in my case Epic Game Store, is open. What does it mean? It means that it will work as if you were playign a heavy AAA game that needs a lot of power. 2 hours is what I achieved while rtx 4050 in this model being enable. What can you do about this problem? Exit Epic app. The green gpu icon in system tray goes gray when NVIDIA gpu is inactive. With it off, this laptop will last 4-6 hours depending on screen brightness and apps used (do not use Chrome on battery usage). Now the positives. I love OLED screen, it is beautiful in games and movies. Sound, battery, they are of appropriately high quality. It can do games, rtx 4050 is ok on medium settings with most games without DLSS and a bit better where it is implemented. It is a beautiful business laptop that also can be used for casual gaming. 3k oled screen, fast current gen CPU and an entry level dedicated graphics from Nvidia. You can get a much cheaper strictly gaming laptop, you can get a much cheaper business laptop without dedicated GPU, but if you decided you need both, it could be a good choice for you.

I bought this laptop knowing it would be compatible with my Samsung phone and it has made life much easier, the touch screen and tablet mode are also very helpful for my projects in college. The speed, battery life, and display are all amazing and a huge upgrade from what i had before. The ports are also very nice as it has everything i need.

You're not going to find a laptop with these specs in such a small unit with an OLED screen. It's not advertised as a gaming laptop but you can certainly game on it. Video editing is a breeze. It's everything I've wanted in a laptop. I've owned laptops in small form factors in the past but those were very limited (no gaming) also I've oned an Alienware gaming laptop but portability was a hassle even the powerbrick lived up to It's name becauae it was the size of a brick. With the Book3 Ultra you get the poower and portability. Does it game as well as my Alienware? No but it's close enough. Also if I wanna do hardcore gaming i have a desktop that can handle that. If you're in the market for a great all around laptop with portability you can't go wrong with this laptop and you won't find a more beautiful screen on any laptop currently on the market!

Has a very nice looking screen and good to play games but sadly no touch screen

When the dedicated graphic card is not in use, it consumes 0 W power. This is a very outstanding function in 2023. This function made this laptop the first one with both RTX graphic card and EVO certification (as far as I know). Almost all other laptops with dedicated graphic card consumes extra power (~7 W) when it is idle. Asus and Lenovo do have an function that can fully turn the dedicated graphic card off by ejecting it (Lenovo legion), but restart is required to have it back in. the 2023 XPS15 may have the same function since it is also EVO certified but I am not sure.

I had the original Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 and wanted to upgrade to the latest model of the Galaxy Book Pro. The Ultra is just beyond. This does NOT have a touchscreen. This does NOT have a 360 Flipable hinge. If this is a must - go get the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360. What you gain is a more solid build and a RTX 4050. Everything about this laptop is Ultra. The display - insane. The dimensions of the Laptop is taller and working is a lot easier. The speakers - insane. Way louder than the 360 and I don't even need to use my external speaker. Performance. Awesome. I haven't installed any games yet, but everything I've had to do so far, the Book3 Ultra does it with ease.
