Q: how do you take Magazine off?
A: For samsung s6. Unlock the phone and go to home screen. Press and hold on the screen as if you want to change the walpaper. From there scroll all the way to the left to where the = (equal sign) and unchecked the box on top and your magazine page should be gone. Hope this help.

Q: Is this phone water resistant / waterproof? Does anyone make a waterproof case for it?
A: I don't think this phone is waterproof, but OTTERBOX makes waterproof cases for this Samsung.
