Q: Can I come in and purchase this samsung galaxy note 5 at the store with an upgrade
A: You can, but beware of how it will affect your plan. Since I bought the Note 5 from Best Buy, Sprint charges a monthly $15 discount phone charge for buying the phone from an outside vendor if you have a term contract. After several uphill battles with Sprint, they waived the charge for the 24 months.
Q: does the note 5 have a slot for a sim card?
A: Nope, unless it's hidden under that glass back which looks like a nightmare to remove as it is affixed with some sort of temperature sensitive adhesive. I watched a tech remove one of them and it was amazing how much heat he had to apply and for how long to remove the back. Sorry, wish it did but it does not. There are alternatives, not so elegans. such as a microusb drive which is instantly recognized and can give you 128 gb of storage I think. But then you have this thing dangling on the bottom of your phone which I think would be vulnerable to damaging the microusb port if torqued inadvertently.

A: No, this item is locked to Sprint.

A: I believe it is because they aren't making them anymore. They are coming out with a Note7.
