The camera is awesome
||Posted .Control of the camera with S-pen makes snapping easy. Also, free handwriting with the pen and translation is exceptional. The order came earlier than I thought and works perfectly! The best smartphone that I ever used, Kudos to Samsung and also Best Buy

512GB of storage and 8GB of RAM!
Posted .Seriously love this phone! It's basically a full computer in my pocket and storage and RAM for days! I use both Samsung and Apple as I have a need for a personal and business phone and I've got to say this phone is much more impressive than my iPhone X 256GB that I got. Has more RAM and processing power to switch between all the apps I need to use on a daily basis and twice the storage of my iPhone so I can keep all the messages and photos I have to take in my profession. My iPhone on the other hand over time has gotten more and more laggy with it's response times and sometimes even gets stuck depending on the situation. And It may have to do with how terrible the heat dissapation on the X is or the software but no matter what the reason I feel as if I'm getting more for my money from my Note 9 than my iPhone X. I mean both of these phones are definitely NOT CHEAP but to those who will fully put them both through their paces I think the Samsung Note 9 is the ideal choice for handling both business and personal life. Yes Apple will put out on Wednesday new iPhones but from my experience I highly doubt that it will beat out what Samsung has done up to his point.

Beast of a phone
||Posted .I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S9+. I have both the Apple iPhone XSMax and the Note9. I use the Note9 far more than my iPhone. I love the 4000 mAh battery in it. I am normally on the phone with the screen on about 4 - 5 hours daily, and by bedtime there is still about 40% battery remaining on the Note9. The iPhone XS Max is nicer looking, but does not offer anything substantial in terms of functionality than the iPhone X that others in my family use. I have the Note9 paired to a Galaxy watch, primarily for notifications. The Galaxy Watch has not missed a notification delivery in weeks, not even once! The Apple watch series 3, that I also own, however is a hit or miss, that I have stopped relying on for notifying me with meeting reminders. I am not a fanboy for either Apple or Android, and just need to get through the day without having to worry about battery or missed meetings. The Note9, paired with the Galaxy watch, fulfills that need without skipping a beat. The S-Pen stylus is very nice, but I haven't had a chance to power-use it yet. Here are the other comparisons of the Note9 with the iPhone XSMax: 1) I can print anything from my Note9 to my regular network printer without any proprietary AirPrint nonsense from my Note9, using the HP printing app. The iPhone cannot do it without clumsy workarounds that involve running software on another computer. 2) Bixby and Siri are both garbage that I gave up on a long time ago. The nice thing is that I can pretty much disable Bixby altogether and turn it off on the Note9, and replace it with the Google Assistant that has worked accurately more than 98% of the time for me. There is a free app on the Google Play store to do all this. The Bixby button on my Note9 is now mapped to Google Assistant and it is a joy to use it, especially with the integration with Spotify. There is no way to disable Siri on the iPhone or make it work with Spotify with this level of customization. 3) Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are over-hyped and I find them useless. I just use a simple phone mount on my dashboard that gets the job done. 4) I travel a lot on work, and carry an Amazon FireTV stick device with me. I love the screen sharing of the Note9 on the FireTV stick, that I cannot do reliably from the iPhone. 5) Samsung adds some point based incentives and cash back discounts every few weeks to use Samsung Pay. When was the last time Apple paid anyone to use Apple Pay? 6) Love the support for SD card on the Note9. 7) I actually still enjoy using the headphone jack on the Note9.

Best phone if price doesn't matter
||Posted .As I said in the summary if the price doesn't matter then this is the best phone you can buy. Now I personally don't use the S-Pen much but those that I know that do love it. I basically just use it to note something down real quick if I need to or the smart select feature at times. Battery life on this thing is great. Can easily get through a day even with heavy use. Not quite as good as a oneplus 6t but then again the screen on this thing is on a completely different level so I think it's fine. Display yeah this is a beautiful display. I keep it on the max resolution and it looks absolutely stunning in every condition if you do a lot of media consumption this is the screen you want. Speakers are great for the most part. I do think the iPhone Xs max has slightly better speakers but it's almost on par. Cameras are wonderful. Not pixel 3 wonderful but close enough. You'll get a pleasant and visually pleasing shot every time. If I had to give some cons I'd probably say the curved screen which is basically something with any Samsung flagship it seems pretty useless to me and getting a tempered glass screen protector for it is expensive because of that. It is a little heavier than most phones I personally don't find it a problem because I don't use cases but I'm sure for others with a case this can be quite heavy and bulky. And the last con is the price. Now I bought it when it was $200 off and with some gift cards but I personally think all phones have reached a crazy price point a few years ago a flagship was $650 now they're pushing $1000 for not really any revolutionary features. If you're looking for a phone with top of the line specs don't care about super high res screens or ip ratings can deal with a mono speaker and an above average camera go get a OnePlus 6t. It is by far the best bang for your buck phone out right now. But if you want all the extra bells and whistles you get with a note and especially if you want an s-pen this is really you're only choice. Also I do want to note (no pun intended) that if you do go with the unlocked version there are certain things you do miss out with on some carriers. I'll list a few here. On Verizon you lose wifi calling On AT&T and their mnvo's as far as I know you lose wifi calling, volte, and HD voice You can get these features back with some csc edits but I don't recommend anyone who's not a bit tech savvy to go through all of that. Now if you're ok missing out on those things you won't regret getting this phone.

Upgrade From Galaxy S7 to Note 9.
||Posted .Been using the Note 9 since 7 PM EDT August 24th, day it came out. Preordered in early August. This is like walking around with a laptop computer in your shirt pocket. Plenty of storage as installed a previously purchased 400 gb MicroSD Card from SanDisk to go with the 512 gb of internal memory. Great for music & even casting streaming media to our Sony 4K TV & a friend's new LG 4K TV with WEBos 3.0. Oh, you can make great, clear phone calls & texts. I've found this phone to be peppy opening apps. Don't really do much gaming on so can't speak to that, but screen bright with accurate colors to these old eyes. So games should be enjoyable. All my older apps appear to work as well. If you're so inclined to use a VPN, my ipVanish subscription works well. Yesterday, streamed videos at neighbors house for 8 hours testing their new LG 4K TV as they don't have broadband yet, though service to be installed soon. Battery life was incredible. It was at 99% when I started, 7% when I got home & plugged it in. In summary, this phone is outstanding for media. A phone of this capability & storage does not come cheap, but those that value access to media at the drop of a hat, I highly recommend the Note 9. My wife was so impressed, she passed her S9+ to our daughter & traded in her S8+ to get a Note 9 in light purple. Samsung knocked it out of the park with this device IMHO!

Q: QuestionDoes the stylus take pictures
Asked by Zeek.
- A:Answer As far as I can tell, holding the button on the stylus acts like a "remote control" that makes the phone take a photo. From what I can tell, the stylus is not taking the photo. However, I turned off _lots_ of camera settings that annoyed me by trying to alter my photos instead of letting me do what I need to do for clients of my small business. I have only had this phone about a month, and I am seriously thinking about returning it. Samsung has made S Note all but completely useless for my business. I used to be able to take before & after pix and later put them together on a single page in S Note and add a caption so clients could see the results. I used to use S Note to rearrange furniture in a room by using the grid background to show clients what I wanted to do without having to actually move their furniture until they approved the plan. I used to sketch right on a photo of their room ways to imrove organization. I can't do that now except in a far limited version with photo editor. In the old S Note app, I could draw sketches in multiple colors of objects in a space and could cut and paste the sketches right on to a photo of the space or on the grid background. I used to be able to paste a photo into the old S Note app and use the erase function to remove all but one item in a photo. I could then save the edited photo on another page in the same S Note and then cut snd past the trimmed image on another one. The old S Note app was a super functional app that I used almost daily and loved using. The new vetsion of the S Note spp is little more than a sticky note. The new version of the S Note app no longer lets me create multi-page notes integrating photos, text, and sketches that I can email to clients as a .pdf. I have been a loyal Note fan from the very 1st one, and I have so far found not one thing that makes ne glad I bought the Note 9. _All_ I can do w the new version of the S Note app is scribble on the screen on a single page sticky note that I can't even figure out how to rename now! Also, every auto update has completely re-set all my personalized app settings. Three times I have had to re-customize my home screen! In about 1 month, I have literally screamed in frustration at this machine. The Bixby app is downright insidious: recording my voice and taking pictures without my consent and sharing my info with services I do not now and will not ever use--like facebook and Uber. I even wenrt in and un-checked the privacy settings at least 3 different times only to find that updates had changed my dis-agree in the privacy setting back to agreeing to sharing my data with Uber and facebook! It is all but impossible to disable the most invasive features of this phone bc if U do, the updates un-do Ur settings. This phone tries to connect to the Samsung TV and Samsung answering machine that belong to other people in the house in which I live. I pretty much hate the invasiveness of the "Smart" app that makes all my callers sound like they are under water when someone else's Samsung TV in the house is on. I cannot figure out how to disable the stupid "smart" thing that is disrupting my calls severely bc someone else here owns a Samsung TV! I am beyond frustrated with this phone, and I have been a _huge_ Note fan prior to getting Note 9 about 1 month ago. I cannot comprehend why Samsung chose to severely curtail the awesome functionality of the S Note app that mde their Note phones so awesome; Note 9 should not even bear the Note appelation: It is far inferior to my old Note 5!
