A: If you are just storing data and using it every 6 months or so without planning to be using it constantly I would recommend a normal HDD in all honesty. You can get a 4TB one for the cost of this one that serves the same purpose. A SSD is only REALLY good if you will be constantly using it (video editing, playing games from it, moving files from) cause of it's speed advantage and not so much for long term storage in all honesty.
A: Yes, every type of file can be stored on this SSD, there is not file type limitation. It includes a USB Typc-C cables and a USB Typa-a to Type C cable. Usb Type-A is the normal USB that we've all been using for the past couple decades, and Type-C is the new version that's better in many ways but isn't as popular yet, just give it time and it will fully replace the Typa-A version.
A: Yes it is made for gaming! In fact it's highly reviewed as one of the top gaming external SSD's! This item I had to locate in the gaming section of the store where they keep the Nintendo switches and other ps5, xbox seriex X accessories locked up. Strongly recommend this product to improve load times, you will notice a huge difference.
A: Yes and yes. The encryption isn't on by default. SSDs are more reliable than the old hard drives they're replacing
Q: Can this be used on Xbox One S
A: Yes it works with Xbox but I would recommend getting an after market type-a to type-c adapter because the one it comes with might be defective mine was defective. I would recommend getting a Tripp lite 3.1 .

A: This is not ram this is just extra storage so think of it not as ram but as another hard drive except this hard drive is faster then a normal computer hard drive
