      So Far, So Good...

I've notice that reviews of Memory Cards, regardless of the website, vary greatly depending upon the usage and longevity of the product. Whether you are tech savvy or a newbie, its really difficult to know just how good a card will perform. This is a Class 6 card and comparing it to my Class 4 I really didn't see huge performance gains for my own usage. I use my 16gb card in my Asus Transformer to watch movies, read epubs & pdfs and view documents. I'm constantly removing it from my Asus Transformer and switching it with a Class 4 32gb card. The spring mechanism in the Transformer's memory card slot is strong enough that i f you don't pay attention the memory card can slip from your hand and fly across the room when trying to insert the card. This happened a lot with no problems from the memory card afterwards. PDFs render slowly on tablets in my experience (Asus Transformer and Samsung Galaxy Tab) and I couldn't find any speed perks using a Class 6 over a Class 4 (or over actually using the onboard memory) as far as PDFs were concerned (the software used can matter on this point at least). No perks were found using the Class 6 over a Class 4 reading movie formats either. I've used this card non-stop over the last month as I traveled to Asia and it never missed a beat. But neither did the Class 4 32gb or the Class 4 16gb Patriot. Mileage will vary no matter what brand you buy. The cost/value ratio was high IMO for this product and I've used it more than the average person probably ever will as I transfer files to & from it constantly. Hope this helps!

I purchased two of these on sale. One for my HTC EVO 3D phone and one for my HTC Flyer tablet. The first one was corrupt right out of the package. Neither the phone or tablet could read it or format it. Tried popping it into my computer to format ( a new computer with an i5 chip so it should have no issues with it) and it kept saying "needs to be formatted" yet when I tried to format it it would say it couldn't and the card was faulty. Thinking I just had bad luck with one card, I opened the second one. This one was recognized by the phone and the tablet with no problem. I started to transfer music and photos to it and sure enough, half way through the card crashed and the tablet and phone both said "bad card". Tried to format it in the computer and it refused to again. I have other high end SanDisk cards (16gb HC 1 SD card for my camera for example) and the computer has no issues reading or righting to it. In fact, I use a two month old SanDisk multi card readier that I checked to make sure was compatible with these micro cards. Not to mention both my tablet and phone are said to be compatible with these HC 1 cards. Returned these to Best Buy and picked up a couple of 16gb PNY class 10 cards and both work fine. I went with these because I have never had a problem with any SanDisk cards before. Maybe it was just my bad luck.

I bought the card when it was on sale (the regular price is a bit high for a 16GB card). All in all, the card works very well. I am using it in a Samsung S4 for additional, removable storage. ATTO disk benchmarks show really good numbers read speed. The maximum read speed it hit was 43MB/s. For a microSD card, this is really nice, especially compared to the Kingston 32GB microSD (SDC10/32GB, SKU 4132651) that only hit 29MB/s (still good in itself, but much slower compare to this card). The write speed was a little disappointing, only hitting 9.6MB/s (the Kingston hit 10MB/s). This is probably about par for the course for a microSD card. Considering most of the activity would be reading on a cell phone, it works out fine. It's definitely not the best choice for a high resolution camera or DSLR that saves RAW picture files, as you would probably hit the write speed barrier when doing rapid shooting and the camera runs out of its internal buffer.

Smaller capacity but just as reliable.

I purchased this 16GB card to use in a KeyChain camera. I chose a fast write speed so as to get the smoothest (as smooth as the camera can get) video recording and it does not disappoint! Sandisk has again made a reliable media recording tool that gets the job done. Using this card in my Keychain camera and my 64GB big brother in my GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition, I am capturing some amazing aerial and RC airplane footage simultaneously! I definitely would recommend this 16GB if your device constrains itself to a ceiling of 16GB, otherwise drop the money for the 64GB variant; you will literally be hard pressed to fill it up!!

I purchased this for my GoPro3+ Black Edition video camera and i am very happy with the amount of space that this holds. After doing some research I believe this will hold about 1.5 hours of non stop video recording storage. All my memory cards that i have used are SanDisk and I have NEVER experienced issues at all. That's why i have always purchased this brand since it has never failed or had any memory crashes or loss of data. I highly recommend SanDisk to anyone and will stand behind their products! I hope this review will help build your confidence in the product and help with your purchase decision. Thank you.

Not an ultra geek here, but I got super tired of the videos pausing/loosing data when I recorded my newborn daughter doing cool new stuff developmentally on my cell phone (Samsung Galaxy III T-Mobile). I got so annoyed, in fact, that I decided to "Go big, or go home!" Well it worked. I've recorded videos up to 14min long (which, nobody really wants to see a video that long for all you new parents to-be out there) and have zero data loss. Totally worth it IMO. In fact, I went and purchased the 16GB Ultra standard SD for my DSLR that writes data at 95/mbps.

I am mystified about how something so small can have the RAM memory of the normal sized SDs! Talk about "technological improvements"! I bought it to use with my Nook tablet to add memory to store data, and it is great at doing this job. As already noted, the only real problem is that it is so incredibly tiny that it is just too easy to misplace, which is not specific to this model but rather to this whole class. So if you want or need this type memory storage unit, this is a great one to pick up for it "does the job" and at a good price.

Not sure why the other review has had issues with the product, but I have had a great experience. I have used this card in my Samsung Captivate for over two weeks and have formatted, downloaded, wrote and rewrote thousands of files. I have not has any issues at all. Actually the card has work so perfectly that I purchased another one for a home security system. It has been recording compressed video files for 10 straight days.
