In order to know if your laptop has an internal PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe M.2 slot, it would be best to contact the manufacturer of your laptop as they would have all the technical specifications for your laptop. Also, they can help you in installing it in your laptop if supported.
A: Perhaps it's because the sandisk you got is Gen 2 and your laptop has Gen 3 slot. That would make a difference.
