      Functional but highly frustrating

I disregarded the other reviewers who said that this product was difficult to install, and that the manual is woefully incomplete. After all, I've installed three other projectors over the past 15 years. Don't make my mistake. Ask yourself this: what's 6 hours of my time worth? Even if your answer is less than the listed price, I'd still caution you. The universality of the mount means that it has a dizzying number of options--many of which will not apply to your particular projector. On the surface, that sounds okay, but then realize that the instructions are almost zero help. Ikea manuals point and laugh at these instructions. . Mostly, you're on your own, with a dozen spare parts you don't need and aren't documented. The video posted on this product listing was somewhat more helpful than the instructions, and without it, I'm not sure I would have gotten to the finish line. The alignment process, in particular, is brutal. Over the course of two days, through a lot of blood, sweat and tears (two of those three fluids actually did make an appearance in the job), I got my projector mounted and aligned. So, yes, it can be done, but expect plenty of bumps in the road.

      Minor issue with this mount

Works well and installs fairly easily. If I were you I would go to Sanus's web site and download the installation instructions. What I got in the box were pictures with a very short notes on what to do. It wasn't always clear how things worked/fit together. The downloaded manual explains things in detail. One other issue and I've seen this complaint on another site is that the screws (4) used for projector alignment are not that well made and the treads are not well done and this may cause you to put to much torque on the screw head and you may strip the phillips screws heads rather easily. I suggest that you replace these with some #10 allen head screws which you can get at a local hardware store. This may only be an issue with the one I bought and because the box is not sealed you cannot tell if it may have been used and then returned with missing paperwork and burred up threads. But it is easy to work around if you do have this issue.

Bought this a few months ago for my new Epson 3020e. I must admit, the instructions were a bit confusing but, manageable. Took a few minutes to connect everything together but, it all went as planned. The plastic covers (two different colors) are a little flimsy but, they are made to snap into place. Mine did with little trouble. Once it was mounted (I installed additional blocking in the ceiling for mine. My choice), all I had to do was adjust the mounts to center the projector. Took a bit of doing but, got everything set in about 20 minutes. I haven't had a single problem with it in the 2 months it has been up. The locking mechanism is a great system. Loosen a few thumb screws and the projector comes right off. Buying a second one so I can easily relocate the projector downstairs...and since my projector is wireless, this is a good bracket to have.

I wasnt sure about this mount but it was the only one I could find in stock anywhere in Birmingham. I didnt want to wait to install the new projector so I bought this one rather than ordering one online. I found it to be easy to install and fairly quick. Its sturdy and holds my projector firmly and looks good with the cover. The hardest part is going in the attic to install the wooden brace between the rafters for support. I used a piece of a 2x10 and four three inch deck screws. Im not worried about it falling down now. Overall good product and easy install if you have some basic handyman skills. Also comes with several different size screws to fit various thread sizes.

I was under the gun to get a mount for a projector I purchased as the mount we had there was outdated and the wrong size. I went into my local store, The staff was great, but they only had this one mount available. It was very expensive. It did offer a bunch of mounting options which was nice and helpful considering we were retrofitting a ceiling mount that was in place. We had to drill holes in the mounting plate as the ones that were there just didn't line up. When all was said and done. We got it mounted. Just wish it was a little cheaper, especially since I could've spent at least $100 less online for a similar product. The price alone would stop me from recommending this product.

While I do appreciate that this projector mount is universal, it is not intuitive to put together. The manufacturer went to great lengths to have the instructions include pictures and not words. This sounds like great idea, but they were rather incomplete with their instructions, but I managed to get it assembled and fit to my Epson 3020 that I just purchased. The "covers" which are supposed to hid the ceiling mount hardware and the projector mount hardware have NO WAY TO ATTACH. There is literally no way for the ceiling mount particularly to attach to the ceiling hardware. There is no lip that clicks into place or any adhesives even. Its actually a poor looking design and was likely inspired by Anime...but it does work and is secure, so I guess that's what counts.

Bought an Epson 3020e projector. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical looking at this mount. It didn't appear to be big enough to install on the projector. I was quite pleased when it when on just fine, no problems at all. I like the quick disconnect feature. Bought a second so I can move the projector to a different room quickly. Works exceptionally well. I can relocate the projector from the bedroom to the living room in about 5 minutes and the two mounts match perfectly. A bit pricey, yes, but full adjustable capabilities and easy to install..I can live with the price, just fine. I recommend this mount for Epson projectors from the 20-- series to the 50-- series.

Purchased for a home theatre our basement. This is currently on an Epson 3700. Instructions left a little to be desired but it is intuitive. Using the 1 ft extension bar to help with angles and alignment. It's a little tricky to level if using the extenders. Very stable and aesthetically pleasing. Does not vibrate when someone is walking upstairs directly above it. Did a lot of research and I'm pleased with this purchase.
