A: There are 3 modes: Sports mode, Normal mode, and Eco mode (speed limited) Sports mode: red “S” icon (high power/speed but lower endurance) Normal mode: white “S” icon (mid-power/speed/endurance) Eco mode: No “S” icon (low power/speed but higher endurance), suitable for beginners. The speed limit can be set through the Segway-Ninebot app. Connect the scooter to the app via Bluetooth. Once connected, go to settings in the top right corner of the screen then select speed. Drag the slider to adjust the maximum speed. Place the scooter into speed limited mode by double-tapping the power button to change the mode of the scooter.

A: Minimum weight for the rider is 55 lbs. The scooter weighs 27 lbs and reaches a max speed of 21 mph, which is pretty darn fast. Consider all of these things before buying buying this for a child. Rider protection (helmet, pads, etc) HIGHLY recommended!

A: There is an electric front wheel brake and you put your foot down on the fender for the rear wheel brake. Both should be used when trying to stop quickly from full speed.
