A Great Investment in household toolsPosted .
Over the years, I’ve had a real love-hate relationship with vacuum cleaners. When I got my first apartment, I was very impressed with my selection of carpet sweeper, but it wasn’t very portable or easy to store because of its size. Nowadays, I’ve really taken a liking to the more compact floor cleaners because they are easier to get in and out of our storage closet. This makes it easier to do a quick sweep at the end of every day instead of letting dust and dirt pile up. The one issue I’ve still had with these compact vacuums is that they have cords. This cord-free vacuum from Shark is just what I needed. When you open the box, you will find that all the pieces of the cleaner are individually wrapped up in plastic or boxed for shipment to consumers. It took me approximately 10 minutes to pull out all the pieces and lay them out for assembly. There are several attachments for different types of cleaning that can actually be stored away until you need them. The main part of the device is only three pieces - the floor nozzle, MultiFlex Wand, and the handheld vacuum. To assemble the vacuum, you slide the wand into the floor nozzle, and then lock the handheld vacuum element onto the other end of the wand. Assembly took far less than unboxing all the parts did. Using the vacuum is quite easy, too. The battery arrived with a small charge on it (one bar) so I plugged it in and started sweeping. The first area I did was a tile entryway that always seems to hide dirt in between the individual tile pieces. The Shark did a great job of pulling up the hiding dirt without having to use any special attachments. After the entryway, I moved into our kitchen/dining room area and was amazed at how easily the Shark turned corners and slid beneath cabinets. It picked up everything from dry spaghetti to toothpicks. Finally, I moved on to the carpet in our living room and a small areas in our bedroom before the battery died. Moving between surfaces is easy because it only takes a button push. The vacuum does a good job of not only picking up the dirt, but also being easy to store. Clean up meant cleaning off the front roller that trapped hairs and carpet fibers and emptying the dirt trap. I found that you actually have to remove the handheld vacuum segment from the wand in order to open the trap door for the dirt reservoir. The Shark is a really nice investment in household tools. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their house clean.I would recommend this to a friend

Pricey but good!Posted .
First thing first, just like all other cordless (battery powered) vacuum cleaners this is a good fit for small apartments/houses or as a secondary vacuum for quick clean ups. If you run it on max suction, the battery will discharge in about 30 mins but the suction is REALLY good. I felt myself being pulled along :) So, if you need more than you either run it on lower power mode or buy a corded vacuum :) I use it as a secondary vacuum for quick clean ups as well as to vacuum my car and I am very satisfied with results. I have hardwood floors in my house so I am not sure about it's performance on rugs/carpet but I am pretty sure it will perform well. It comes with a number of accessories (see the attached pic) but there is no attachment to store them. I don't like this. I have a RIDGID wet vacuum and it has a nice attachment to store all accessories in one place. I don't expect an attachment for this but a tote or something like that to organize these pieces would have been good for the price range. It is very easy to use (plenty of free-moving-ability in the front head). The middle joint bends dogleg style so getting under a table or chair is trivial, and it has plenty of power to handle most jobs. Also, it is very easy to put together and take apart. The maintenance is easy too. The dirt cup is not too bag but emptying it is easy enough. As the middle join bends, it is easy to store it in a small place. Overall, a good vacuum. A lot of suction, good battery life, the ease of charging the battery pack anywhere, easy maneuverability are the key features in my opinion.I would recommend this to a friend

Great Vacuum, with GREAT battery life.Posted .
Pros: The Shark - IONFlex DuoClean IF201 Bagless Cordless Stick Vacuum was very easy to switch from the different power levels. I Absolutely love that it doesn’t have a cord. It makes vacuuming SO much easier, and I won't have to worry about a cord dragging on the corner of my walls, making marks. Plus, no more tangling the cord around your legs and objects, or having to unplug the vacuum because it won’t reach far enough to where I want to go. I have kids that are messy at the table, so this is GREAT for the daily pick up. Vacuuming my rugs it did wonderfully. It has very strong suction and was pulling me across the rug. Battery level is great. I was able to vacuum my main level (1700 sq ft) without noticing the battery dying at all. My mother has a different brand, and says she’s only able to vacuum one level at a time, then has to charge it before she can go elsewhere. Different power level is nice, for the areas that I dont need SUPER suction, but just something to get the dust or random things. Then the battery would last even longer!! The long suction piece has a cool design to it, so that you can slide the brush down the shaft to double as the extension piece for it, and then slide it back again to use just the long suction piece. I've never seen that before (see photo). It doesn't have any place to keep the extra pieces when not in use though. Maybe a bag would be nice. The vacuum has a nice feature to bend in half for storage (see photo), so it is only about 2.5 feet tall, and saves some space in the closet. The bottom of the vacuum has a furry-like brush that spins when you vacuum. That dusts our wood (vinyl) floors great. Because it is right in the front, i can put it directly in the corner of the baseboards, and it dusts right to the edges. Major plus to get in all the spaces. Wishes/Cons: I wish it included a hanger bracket for storing/charging. It does seem to have some trouble picking up couch fluff from the thin carpet I have, but partly because it doesn't fit under the beater bar area. It is a bit heavier than another vacuum I own and is a bit less maneuverable as well. Overall: I’m very pleased with it. What an amazing difference from the vacuums that came out 5 years ago. This one is a great way to save your back and arms from the carrying, pushing and pulling. I thought it would have a mounting bracket that when docked charges, but this one has a removable battery, and a cord that plugs into it. So I guess it is more versatile for people who don't have outlets where they want to keep their vacuum.I would recommend this to a friend

Powerful vacuum!Posted .
This compact vacumm is a must at home specially if you have places that you can't reach with any regular upright vacuum. Its come with 4 cleaning attachmnets and one of them is designed to reach under appliances which is nice. This vacuum is bagless and cordless and has a good power out of it! Battery has 3 blue leds for charging indicator. Prior to use I charged it for 3 and battery was full and leds went off. Not too much noise out of it and light weight when carrying. Storage is convenient.I would recommend this to a friend

Electric Broom on SteroidsPosted .
This may look like an electric broom, but it's much more powerful and does an impressive job cleaning. I like the versatile design as it's very easy to get out of the closet, unfold and start vacuuming the floors (it even bends to slide under furniture). The top part can be detached, allowing you to use it as a portable handheld vacuum as well. In the attached photo, you can see that you simply take the handheld unit at the bottom of the picture and attach any of the items above it to suite the task at hand. There is a "normal" power mode and a "high" power mode which increases suction (which also sucks the juice from the battery at a faster rate). You can also switch between carpet and hardwood floors with a simple button press. The unit uses a rechargeable battery cell. It takes a couple hours to charge and unfortunately only gives about 20-25 minutes of cleaning time. So you might not be able to clean a large home on one battery (although additional battery cells are sold separately). However, it's a decent compromise for the wireless freedom of cordless vacuum. Please note that there is no charging dock included with this unit, but it does come with an AC wall adapter. You can either charge the battery while it's still mounted inside the vacuum, or you can remove the battery and charge it by itself which might be a little more convenient if you don't want to move the entire vacuum near a wall outlet. Cleaning and maintenance is also fairly easy and straightforward. There are three doors to open on the main unit (shown at the bottom of the attached photo) that allow you to clean the main compartment, the foam filter on top and a smaller filter on the bottom. The broom unit also opens up to easily clean the rollers should something get wrapped around them. Overall, the IONFlex is a convenient grab-and-go vacuum that requires little fuss as long as you remember to keep it charged.I would recommend this to a friend

Cordless & FlexiblePosted .
The Shark IONFlex is an amazing vacuum! It was easy to set up and easy to use. The top two features are being cordless and flexible. I was surprised at how much freedom I felt not having a cord to hold up or constantly move out of the way. Charging the unit is easy, with the battery sliding in and out of the vacuum quickly. The flexibility is effortless - going underneath chairs and tables easily, and the roller head turns almost to a 90 degree angle. The controls for on/off, carpet/tile and time/power are perfectly located and can be reached with the thumb to quickly change modes. The controls are lit as well as the roller head. It came with 4 great attachments, including the crevice device that has a brush that slides up and down - very smart. All the button are well marked and make sense such as "Empty" and "Push down to unlock". The suction is great and works well on dog hair. I'm very impressed with this vacuum stick and it will probably take the place of my corded vacuum, at least for day to day cleaning.I would recommend this to a friend

Perfect for a small apartmentPosted .
Finally upgraded from my 15-year-old cheap Eureka with this Shark. I wanted bagless and cordless and easy to store as I live in a small (650sqft) apartment. Easy to assemble, charged quickly and has good suction on laminate and carpet. I do wish, however, that the container was bigger as it needs to be emptied frequently.I would recommend this to a friend

Great VacuumPosted .
I bought this Vacuum as a Christmas Present to myself and I love it. The Option that it folds down and you don’t have to hang it on the Wall is great. Overall the Suction Power is definitely sufficient and it recharges pretty quick. It is lightweight as well. The only drawback I found is that the dirt container could be a little bigger.I would recommend this to a friend
Q: QuestionHow long does one charge last?
Asked by Mel.
- A:Answer It last about 20-30 minutes. I can get a few rooms done before I have to charge it. I ordered an extra battery pack when I saw it didn’t last too long. I think for the price it should be a little better but that just my opinion.

Q: QuestionCost of a battery
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The cheapest option which comes with a charging station is about $100. The next option up is about $130 and it comes with a dual charging station which is probably the best way to go to hold both the new battery and the one that came with the vacuum. There are a few other bundles available as well priced higher. https://www.sharkclean.com/parts-and-accessories/vacuums/61/batteries-and-power/

- A:Answer I don't have the specific specs on weight. I believe it's about 5lbs. I have laminate flooring & it glides easily along the floor. I also have a few area rugs, which is a little harder to go over, but does a great job on both. Love the headlights so I can see in darker corners. Emptying the canister is easy. Switching different utensils is very easy. I can do my house in an hour & takes about the same time to charge. Also, you can keep it plugged in between using without harming the battery. My mother bought the Dyson. I used it in her house. She has the same type of flooring & it weighs a bit more & emptying the canister isn't quite as easy. Other than that they are the same, but the Shark costs less. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionIs this the exact same sweeper as the Shark 2X other than color and the dual charger/ two batteries? Not sure if they improved the sweephead or vacuum motor or something
Asked by spinner.
- A:Answer Yes they are identical except for color and the fact that you get a second battery and a charging station. The battery is good for 20-30 mins ... if u need more mins I would just buy a second battery for about 99 dollars
